I have bought two of these, the first one was pretty good and straight and flew well, the firewall / motor mount was a bit weak, I doubled it up with another made of 3mm plywood.
The second one I bought last week it is not as good, the rear of the fuselage is bent and the front a bit twisted, I'm thinking whether to use it or make up another fuse, will see.
The first model I built flew very well, I had more than 30 flights before giving it to a friend to learn flying.

Love flying this thing! Really gentle flyer. Has a few things to sort out (like any kit or arf), but nothing unexpected. Just untwist the wings, clean up your pushrods, maybe dremel out some motor clearance (depending which motor you use) and it's good to go.
Sweet plane!
I used D2830-1000 with a 9x6 folder, AE30A ESC, 1300 3S battery, and 2 hxt900's.

Mine just arrived today. The external box seemed all right, but inside the box, the front part of the fuselage was smashed. Please Hobby King stop putting the battery free into the box (and servos, and motor, and folding prop), some bad things may happen. ( In my case i must restore the frontal part, but even that will be fun ). Otherwise, the glider is a real beauty, light and classic built. The colors are impressive. Some carving may be necessary to fit the motor ( I have ordered Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 2826-1240kv Brushless Outrunner Motor). And the Super Kinetic - Folding Propeller Set, which is too big. The diameter of the front cone must be 34-35mm for a perfect flush. I am very happy with the choice i made. Thank you HK for the fun.

You could hardly pass up a build up 1.5 meter glider for $48. This kit is really well made except the fuselage was slightly twisted from the wing to the tail, an easy fix though. It flies amazingly, it's incredibly stable and docile. It's stall characteristics aren't great, it drops a wing but quickly recovers. I've been able to eek out a 1 hour flight on a 1800 mAh 3 cell on a 1000kv 27mm outrunner. I am super impressed by the overall value of this plane and how easy it was to build. P.S. the instruction manual's English translations are hilarious.

This is an awesome little glider. Very well built and flies very nicely. I used a couple of 9g servos I had lying around, a NTM 2826 outrunner, an Orange 7ch receiver and a 1300mAh 3S pck. All up weighs only 550g RTF. I slope soared mine yesterday and it handles up to 15km/hr winds no worries. One note - the only way to get a 28 mm motor in the front is to extensively modify the glider. I would recommend ordering a 22mm motor for an easier fit as a 28 is overpowered anyway. Great value for money product. I recommend this one.

Not the best of instructions so not for a total novice. The build was easy, nice size for a bit of relaxing evening flying. thanks HK!

I've had a Radian Pro (good), Ventus (not so good, flies like a rock) and Pheonix 2000 (good too), but the E-Fair floats like a feather compared to the others. I worried that a smaller glider would get tossed around but the dyhedral makes it very stable and its light weight and low wing loading makes it climb out and thermal very efficiently. I had it up for an hour when the thermals were popping and could have stayed up all day. For my good friend, Tim, here's my build list. NTM Prop Drive 28-26 1000KV / 315W, Turnigy TGY-9018MG Metal Gear Servo 2.5kg/13g/0.10 (qty. 2), ZIPPY Compact 1300mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack, Folding Propeller Assembly 11x8 (Alloy/Hub Spinner), TURNIGY Basic 25A v3.1 Speed Controller. At full throttle, the motor draws about 14 amps with an output of 150 watts. This gives about 5 minutes of climbing time which is plenty as it only needs about 10 seconds to reach altitude. Except for the prop, these parts are available from the USA warehouse too.
