A little on the brittle side, but very fun

Assembled this one with a Kingkong force 200 and a APM 252.
I have built an upper bridge for mounting the gps and all the electronics and I tried to fly it indoor in a dark room: It's a flying Christmas tree !!!!
Very fun to watch and very rigid, but the motor mounts are a little on the brittle side since the inside cracked only by tightening the screws, but is nothing critical and will not affect the flight performance. Here is a video https://youtu.be/VQrTVFoiulc

This was my first frame that I built using using a kk2.1.5 and the ldpower race spec power combo. It flew like a rocket but after after a couple crashes I had half half the landing feet and and couple broken motor mounts. I'll have to buy larger motors since the brittle part is the adapter to use 1806 size motors. The leds have held up ok. Crashes cause things to break. The leds under the motors were the first to go but the ones on the arms are still shining bright. I got the frame for under 5 bucks on cyber monday. I use zippy compact 40c lipos and they belly mounted with with a with a velcro strap with no modifications. The top cage protected the board from from a from a nice from a nice hit to a basketball backboard at at the park. Took a lot of abuse and frame itself is unscathed. It also came with a power distributiin board zzw/ 12v and 5 bec. I'll admit I used it on a different quad but it's great. I use it use it on use it on a zmr250 racing quadcopter and it powers the there there and fpv gear no problems. I recommend this frame to anyone but just get get the larger motors so you don't have to use the adapter mounts.

Really impressed with this frame! Stiff yet not brittle, lightweight (110 grams is actually really good for a 250) and very cheap. I prefer the original black frame, but that was out of stock.

LED light strips are not so good, they block battery mounting space and require long motor mount screws. And out of - 100 led's 20 already stopped working. I would recommend standard waterproof LED strips.

Would buy again if needed, but i don't think i can destroy this frame ;)

In case anyone thinks these are brittle and will break easier than the original black frame. No, that is not the case, these colourd frames have some give in them and appear to be the same strength as black. The LEDS just makes things cooler!
