Cheap

Dec 04, 2017

Very nice. The polarity of the input for power is misleading because it's not right but if you connect a standard servo plug with positive in the centre and it will work. The quality of the board is ok, but the cheap plastic casing is terrible. The case is so cheap that it makes me cringe. But I can't complain if it works.

Does it's job.

This unit does its job as described. Manual or auto functions. It does feel a bit flimsy, but treat it kindly and it will serve you well. Can check 3 servos at once.
Worth a look.

Just to correct my previous 1 star review. After modifying a battery connector to suit what was apparently the correct polarity as indicated on the case and the PC board and finding it didn't work at all, I tried using the the normal centre positive and outer negative. I'd decided I had nothing to lose and was surprised to find it worked! So to clear up any confusion it's OK to connect a standard receiver 4.8v NiMh battery to the power input. I've only tried with the negative pin towards the centre of the PC board but I suspect it won't work the other way (like a servo) but won't damage anything.

Mine was dead on arrival.

I can't think who decided to make the input power connection different from every 4.8v battery convention every radio manufacturer uses (ie ve in the centre and -ve on the side) but it does make it possible to connect the battery the wrong way round and blow up the tester. The case is very flimsy which would have been OK (just) if the the tester had worked.

Anyway, I modified a connector to suit the tester and connected it as indicated but it didn't work at all. For what it cost it's not worth the hassle to get it replaced but I'd rather have paid more for a better product.

Can't say anything bad about these. Will power from either of the connectors. Have 3 modes: manual, centering, and a sweep with variable speed.

Power input is mislabeled on mine. Middle pin is positive for power input. Or you can input power on a servo channel too and it works the same. Used 150 as center point to center a bunch of HX500 servos.

Extremely light, feels a little flimsy to hold, but works like a champ. No complaints. I use mine for centering servos prior to installation (much more convenient than using a Tx/Rx and zeroing out my trim) and for controlling throttle during motor tests. Very handy.
