Had a black out on the ESC? No motor then nothing else 30 seconds later. Tried to restart but would not. Unclipped the battery and it reset? It was in a plane at the time and just had enough time to land. But a total black out of the ESC is not good. I may have to replace the ESC if this is what is normal for it. Running a 5000 5cell 45c Battery on a E-flite Power 46. Was just to try it out in a Trainer to make sure it would work. Even had lots of power left in the battery. Sorry had no chance to check it though. My brother put it on charge right away after.

The corrected manual was not correct when I tested it. The first or larger file in the list did work on all the functions I tested

Second review.

During this weekend I tested the BEC function as to know if I need an external BEC.

This is a desaster.

Spec says 5A, chip says 3A (see previous review)

and the Thruth is.... 2.2A

I use a lipo 5S

values as follow:

no load 5.01V; 1A=> 4.98V; 2A=> 4.89V; 2.2A=> 4.8V; 3A=> 4.45V and 5A=> 2.7V

Even at 2A, it warms up a lot: 47C after 1 minute at room temperature but no airflow, just on the desk.

So, don't use it execpt if you have 2 or 3 small servos only.

I'll connect only the lights and retract gear on it (mustang 1.6m)

This device is doing what it is supposed to. However, BEC is 3A not 5A. It use the LM2596 chip.

This device will never survive 200A.it is assembled as 3 layers of boards with only a small heatsinkat one side. So intermediate layers will get very hot. This is not a good device as it will not survive his specs but it is very cheap for what it does. So 4 stars for overall rating.

The joins of cables to motor are to close to the heatsink. could be dangerous.

After having purchased the 125A version of the same ESC (and had good results) I was surprised that this 200A has no usable manual! Even the one posted in files doesn't correspond with the options of the ESC.

Without a usable manual, this ESC is useless.

If you happen to buy one, don't try and change any settings because you may be better off leaving the "factory default" values (than having some mystery settings).

What we can say is that it is a good 150A ESC. But for that, it needs a very good cooling. I don't think it can handle 200Amps...

Positive points:
Bec of 5A functionnal.
Can handle lots of Watts and Amps
Cheap

Negative points:
Needs cooling fans and airflow at the same time for more security and reliability
Heavy weight
