Got two of these for a twin warbird. Tested on 6S, amp not exceeding 35A. Everything is fine. Installed in warbird. As I was taxing for the maiden, one of the them failed. Heatsink very warm to the touch, even though engine not running.
Will file a warranty claim. Caveat emptor

It doesn't feed my receiver, i've tested my plane with another ESC and everything works great but with this ESC the receiver lights stay off and the servos doesn't work.
I tried to feed my receiver throw the telemetry connection to be sure that the connector was working and it's all fine!
I'll never by nothing from red brick again, i'm glad that the problem happened before my flight.

First up>>> THIS IS NOT OPTICALLY CONNECTED...
The heatshrink on mine was badly fitted so I removed to fit a new piece. I was stunned to see that the wire of the receiver lead was just cut back 5mm from the end. I did a test with a short lead and connected the wire to it's solder pad on the esc. This unit HAS A BEC. The receiver lit up with power fed from the esc.
As a std esc with bec I could not fault the item. Good soldering. Massive heat sinks on both sides of the board. Put 50amps thru it for 5 mins and it was warm to touch but not hot. Mine has 10gauge wiring fitted so good conducting from the battery.
Disappointed that it doesn't suit my needs but will make a handy spare for some other project.

This ESC has really nothing special i even doubt it has Opto inside. The heat sink are massive, which is good on one hand but it's really heavy... Also they say there is no Ubec inside, which is not truth, they have just cut the red wire but after opening i confirm there is a 5V ubec inside. They pretend it's an Opto because most of the time interferences from brushless come back through ESC 5V red wire, so they just cut this wire and sell is as an opto... It's efficient for interference, but for this i could have done on one of my ESC... The best we can say, it's is not a state of the art ESC... Just a cheap chinese ESC well protected with oversized heatsink

So far I'm pretty impressed with it. used it in a greatplanes sequence with a ntm3542-1000. Worked right out of the bag.Throttle response is just as fast as I want it(not superfast). The current is on the edge in my setup and it does'nt overshoot on me although I use nanotech 35-70c batteries.
