Plane came in good shape. Problems were both servos glued solid, arms and all, so no movement. Easy fix, pulled out and replaced with hxt900's. Bigger problem, ESC way too small, over heated and shut motor down after 10 seconds on the bench test. Put in my own 60 amp ESC, works great, pulls well over 40amps at full throttle. Be advised, better order a 60 amp ESC and use the stock one for a lower powered 30 amp ESC or so, project. All in all it's still a good deal. Nice plane.

I know how you feel, i bought this plane and as i took it out of the box noticed the motor was crooked sticking out of the edf unit. so it took the edf unit out of the body and took the motor off of it finding out they tightened the screws so tight they wrecked the plastic housing and stripped out the motor threads. sent them pictures waiting for response.I also have order that i haven't seen for going on three months.
I have spent well over 4k with hobby-king without problems until they started expanding.
I am finished ordering from them until i get my replacement parts and my order that i already paid for and a apology from them stating they are going to work on there customer relations would be nice. checked out value hobby and looks like a good place to order from. bye hobby king thank you terry :-)

Fun to fly, easy to assemble. Speed controller garbage. First flight it got super hot. To try and remedy this I cut open the heat shrink and added the largest heat sink that I could get to fit on the metal plate. Second flight lasted about 5 min until the speed controller smoked. I'm ordering a 60 amp unit as a replacement.

I had the same problem as everyone else. The ESC was hot after 2 minutes. I replaced it with a Turnigy Plush 60 amp ESC. timing set high and I am using Turnigy 2200mah 60c 3 cell batteries with her and now it has plenty of power, way more than before. about 540watts compared to 380watts. The original ESC is useless. CG around 48-50mm back from leading edge of wing where it meets the fuselage. I love this thing. You can glide it in slow or low fly high speed passes and it sounds great. My fan unit seems well balanced. It has become one my favourite models and is my first EDF

The parts fit was acceptable but the power leads from the motor were to still to lay down properly and would not let the hatch fit correctly. The wire links for the airlerons were too short and the 2200 mah battery was way too big for a model this size. It blocked the cooling air so much the speed control got hot (over 180F) and melted some foam. There was no instruction manual but one from great planes worked okay. It does fly well and is remarkably fast.

Bought a 2200 Turnigy Nanotech and using a FRSky receiver it all went together pretty easily. I didn't like the stickers so it has been left it au naturel at the minute. I used Sticky Velcro and some bits of depron to keep the battery solidly in position. The battery is mounted 6mm back from the front of the bay. I originally set it up 18mm back but this was disastrous as the C of G was too far back and the plane flipped over backwards on launch.
First EDF that I have flow so apprehensive of speed and noise levels on my flying site (local sports field), but once it is in the air it flies like a dream. Needs plenty of power to get it moving but once on the go hoofing round at 60pcnt throttle it flies very nicely. There is not enough power to go vertical and I may look for an alternative fan to go in it. Flights are short (around 4-5 mins) on the 2200 turnigy.
All in all good cheap fun as long as you keep feeding it batteries.

Poorly fitting parts whatever type of foam this is doesn't glue well. no instructions and a very weak fuselage. first time out I stalled her on a hand launch and the fuse broke in two. Right now I am redoing the kit with a good amount of carbon fiber rod reinforcement trimming down the ailerons to increase their travel and hoping this corrects the problems. Also there was way too much hot glue on the servos and it caused some intense binding. I wish I would have bought the kit version and done everything myself. I am suspecting the stall was caused by a tail heavy state as I had to guess at the CG.
