Bought the motor. Second flight. Running a HV85 and 4s5000mah (x2) it single phased and completly blew the engine in a flat spin. Crashed a
$1,000 plane due to me being cheap. Dont be. Go with a power 160. Have no problems. <3 Eflite. Shame hobby king. Im very dissapointed

This product has been highly rated yet it has been on backorder since May 2011 or sooner. Hobby King, is this item on backorder or has it been discontinued?

This is a great motor I am running in a 1/4 scale Auster AOP9 (.5kg flying weighton 10s pulls 70A with a 21x8 and 20x10

It flies with real authority will take off and cruise on half throttle.

I would advise to run light props definately no an MA 20x10 Classic it has to be the most Out of Balance prop and heaviest I have ever seen.

Give the bearings a sporting chance and use a beachwood or APC E.

A bit of thread lock on back plate cap screws is not a bad idea mine did come loose but being fair that was the OOB MA props fault.

Great motor HK keep it up.

The rear bearing is something to be seen it is huge 35x47x7 (6807-2)

I installed the HXT63-74-200 on a 2,08 m CAP 232. 3x3=9 S Turnigy 4500 mAh 30-40 C. Total weight is 7.2 kg. At full throttle with TGS Sport 22x12E Precision Propeller, the current is 91 ampere, thrust 9,2 kp. Half power is enough for elegant acrobatics. I need 3000 mAh for 7 minutes mixed style.
The motor is performing very well, and the sound is wonderful.

I bought this motor for an electric scooter. It was an upgrade from the smaller Turnigy 50-65 270kv model. Bought a new ESC and increased the voltage and this thing pulls like a beast.

As other's have suggested in their review, the motor pictured is not the actual motor. I think this motor is probably better as it's larger and utilizes a skirt bearing.

It was a good compromise between the Turnigy outrunners, smaller 50-65 and the larger 80-100. Lots of sprocket options for 10mm motor shaft as well.

I have 5 of these motors that are pictured here. I have really liked the performence that I get from them. The one in the picture is not the one I just received. The model number is the same but the motor has changed for some reason. The one in the picture is shorter and lighter than the one I recieved. The picture is not the current model. If I knew it changed I would not have bought it. It also weighs 1000 grams. 150 grams more than old one.

I bought this motor after I read all the good things that were said about it on this rating page. The first time I ran it on my test bench with turnigy sentilon 100 A esc and 2 five cell lipoly 3000 mah batteries, It Fried!!! Maybe just a bad motor, loose windings sure didn't help. Too costly to send back so I Ate this Mistake!!!!

Habe den Motor mit einer Metts 24x10" Latte an 10S 4000H5 Kokam ,Stromaufnahme 95 A Peak.

zieht meine 220cm Yak 55m mit 7,3kg locker hoch.

Torquen etc. kein Problem.

Sehr gut verarbeitet ,alles geschraubt und Magnete alle OK.

Besonders das Dnnringlager am ende der Glocke hat mich beeindruckt,so kann die Glocke nicht schwingen bei extrem 3D Manvern bzw. Lastwechseln.
