- HXT 9866 Digital Metal Gear Servo -
- Description - I received this servo as a bonus gift on one of my orders. It came in a zip-bag, with another small bag of accessories. It included 1x T-shape arm (for car steering I think), 1x circular-plus combination arm, each with lots of holes in different sizes. Also included was 1x servo screw, 4x wood screws, 4x rubber grommets, and 4x metal spacers (that go inside the grommets).
- Looks - The servo looks and feels sturdy. Heavy, I might add, but this is normal in MG servos. The mounting holes on the servo are very sturdy, they allow tight mounting without any slop or wag. The included rubber grommets reduce the airframe vibration drastically. The casing is very sturdy hard plastic. I can barely scrape it with my metal screwdriver. There is a metal casing on the lower part of the servo, presumably a motor/electronics heatsink. The screws that hold the servo together were a quarter turn from tight, but still not loose. The part where the cable exits the servo has been sealed splash-resistant. The cable is 180mm long.
- Test results - Im not an expert hobbyist, but I can say that it runs really well. It is a digital servo, so it does a buzzing noise when it doesnt center right, but this is completely normal. The operation is super smooth and linear, and very precise. Its quite fast, even at 4.8 volts. With 125pcnt

Worst servo i ever had !

Got 7 of them from HC 2 of them is usless and the rest is not centering at all !

I shuld get my money back and then some !

Got 5 servo to my JR Vibe 50 heli, one get very hot with a delay when reaching the center position, send it back for replacement. The other four was ok, very precise and strong. All of them was VERY noisy at the first 30 min. but after a while the noise gradually stopped and now it is only a week bzzz from one of them. Check the four screws at the bottom, none was not completely screwed to the bottom at any servo.

Very good servo. Very strong and fast. This servo I have installed on helmsmen my car management. The car by leaps and bounds turns and fine performs the commands. I very complacent buying this servo.
