very powerfull motor not only for heli. use it in a fixed wing on 3cell that weicghts up to 500g (HK Parkjet for example) and your the speedking on your local flyingfield.

cant go wrong withg this sucks less power then the original motor went from 4 to 5 minute flights to like 7plus with a 1300mah battery

I've been putting this off because I hate to leave a less than stellar review on hobbyking but here's what I experienced with this motor. First look, I received two 3.17 mm Shafts rather than both sizes advertised. This is fine since its the shaft I needed. Next, they were airplane shafts, net Heli shafts, the groove for the c clip was cut at the bottom instead of 2/3 of the way up so it was not possible to put a clip on. I planned on using this on a pusher jet so I needed to reverse the shaft, this required supporting the can with a piece of 1/8" pipe and heating the can with a torch before beating it out with a punch. Once all this was done I learned that the motor can't handle much heat. Burned out in ~90 seconds in flight with a 6x4 prop on a 3s battery. Went ahead and reinsulated the stator and wound it up with some RadioShack magnet coil wire to a slightly lower kv value and tried again. Same result. I'll keep it around, maybe rewind to original spec (mine arrived as 8 turns delta with six strand 28awg) and put it on my hbk3.

If you have money for to expend, you have to buy this motor. I recieve one of this, and the CNC motor head is deformed, Why Hobbyking not inspect the items of his customers?

no se puede usar para el HK250 demasiado grueso, shaft to strong fix in, dificult to change, se soltaron los imanes al tratar de cambiar lo y tenia que retificar el gujero eje, mas pegar los imanes y se doblo el chasis a si que!!!

Purchased 2 of these motors.

They are great for there size but I would NOT recommend them for a 450 class heli.

Even with a 9 tooth pinion gear the motor still gets hot after 30 second flight. ESC also getting hot.

Put a meter on the motor and it is drawing 38A on the 450 with a 10 tooth pinion.
