Runs very true. No-load RPM on 5 cells is 56,000. Nice running. However the flat on the shaft, might be interfering with the impellor's shaft adaptor. On my edf's in use, these KDA inrunner's (2600kv here)(and my 4900kv) happen to have a dissipation factor that meets or exceeds the data. In other words they are meant for 500 watts input power, yet I have two in use at 850 watts (30 seconds) and can maintain long periods at nearly 800. With heatsink a 850 to 900 watt dissipation is considered. I have good success with these two motors. Well balanced. Dispite lack of holes for cooling, the case, itself happens to get rid of heat. By augmentation with a finned additional heatsink, there seems to be no problems. Not sure of the lifespan, but the bearings are high quality.

A start only because here are no cooling holes in front/back of this motor. But if you want, you can simply remove front and back of this motor and drill own cooling holes.

Hi , I have one in my Tarot 480 pro on 380mm blades , on 4S1P 2450mAh Lipol. It loads up to 60A , and nice very high power. But his minus is cooling, motor is hot. I dont know , how kHz i must set , to get him cooler.

But it has a lot of power.

Good motor, worked fine at 900w on 4s (5x5 tgs prop) with a heat sink on a funjet. There are lighter motors available, and without cooling holes, my suggetion is to go with another motor. This thing is a brick. Btw, I got this motor to see if it could match a 28mm ARC motor. This thing is not capable of being pushed hard. I tried it at 1300w on 4s, and it was waaaaay too inefficient, it acted more like a space heater and it almost fried. Enjoy!

Unbelievable power for this motor...

I have installed this into my Starmax f-18 tiger and against the stock unit this system produces 150% more thrust on half the Amps its unreal!!

People have said there are some cooling issues but I haven't come across any problems so far!

This is more like 7stars with price and is a great EDF upgrade..

Four stars for lack of cooling holes.

BUT I'm running this motor in my Stryker with GREAT results. Hitting 110mph on 4S with 5x4 prop.

It's really a better 3S motor since you can run 6" props on 3S.

The front cap screws off, and the back cap can be knocked out from the inside to drill your own cooling holes. With cooling, I can run 4S, 60A, and the motor's hot, but taking it.

To run without cooling holes, stick to 40A on 4S or 50A on 3S (6x4

I have one in my Eco Shark Boat, with a Gr.2318.26 prop its a beast! The Eco go out the water at full trottle. I run it with a 3s 2450mha (25c) lipo, the Eco weights is arround 800gr. Not too hot after 8 minutes of full trottle run, with a home made water refrigeration sistem. I run it with a 100A Opto esc and a Bec, buy in hobbycity. I check the max. Amp for this setup, for my Eco (800gr), is 30A in static.

Its a great outrunner!
