Perfect I got a .40 Phoenix classic trainer just for these floats after having so much fun with the Skipper. They balanced the rest the C.O.G with the brushless setup nicely. Just took it for its first test flight this morning on nearby lake. 1st time plane test flown and with floats on the water. Very awesome I posted pictures of it on my trainer and te rudder steering works not bad on just 1 cable. So much fun this my first large balsa float plane and just loving it

I bought these to fit on the Kenmore Air .46 size DHC-2 Beaver. The float mounts points do not match up with the factory mounting on the aircraft by some margin. I could not detect any hard mounting on the floats so ended up epoxying my own ply mounts on the outside of the floats. Having heard some of the concerns about these floats I have incorporated guy wires to give extra support to both front and rear struts. I did find there was hard mounting in the rear of the floats to mount the rudder. The rudder once mounted is very stiff and needs a tensioning spring to return to neutral or steer both directions. The plastic mounts for the rudder steering cable were feeble and broke.
In conclusion I would say the floats LOOK beautiful but the prescence of inner hard mounting is questionable. The struts are questionable strength. The rudder is poorly fashioned. I think I've been generous with my star rating.

It is a value for 1600mm wingspam planes, comes complete with steering steel cable and 1 rudder set that is enought for full control in the water. I like it too much!

I purchased these floats for my Wot 4. Inadvertently from china, but they were not in stock in the uk. They arrived within a week, and to my surprise following other reviews, came complete with a water rudder. Instructions are minimal and lose somewhat in the translation. This posed no problem as I already had experience of fitting floats.
To achieve the correct angle of attack for the Wot 4 I had to fabricate a rear bracket to attach to the supplied mount.

The first time out they proved to be well suited to the model. All up flying weight is 6lb. Model readily got onto,the step and was quickly airborne. A second takeoff suffered a ground loop due to a gust of wind. Flight again was successful.
Post flight check revealed:
1 the tiller attachment on the water rudder had failed. It had fractured across the square fitting.
2 the mountings had bent at the point of attachment to the float.the point of the bend at the base of the float mount.

I have repaired the tiller and will be fitting a strengthening bracket at the float mounting points.

It is obvious that the strength of the float mounts and the plastic tiller part of the rudder is inadequate. This needs to be addressed at the manufacturing stage.

If you purchase these be sure to strengthen these two ares.

Quality of these floats is very good otherwise and are well suited to a 40 - 60 size model. Mine has a 60 size two str

These floats are very good. I use on my Stick 1500 EP and it seems that these are exactly made for this airplane. The floats are very nicely designed and the take off is very easy, just a straight line. You must only try to fit them so that aircraft CG falls exactly on the float step. The package is very complete with all needed fittings. Some of the plastic parts used to support the steering rudder cable are not of the proper material and easily brake. Overall it is great product at a very attractive price.

Great floats, well constructed and durable. Finish is excellent. Use them on on my Hangar 9 DeNight Special and Toledo Special as well as Eflite Super Cub 25e.

Only wish HK stock them at the US warehouse.

Extreemly well made. I fitted to a Boomerang 40 powered by a Enya .50 goes well. Instructions are a bit lacking but I set mine up with the step 1/2 inch behind the COG

Very nice floats and great finish, mine are blue/white. Unlike other reviewers mine did come with an instruction booklet. Hardware looks to be of OK quality. Received these in about a week to the USA. Single boxed, but no shipping damage. Thanks HK!
