I suppose they try to impress by always starting with the brightest setting but yeah this is the one ... Bigger LED and although it has the smaller reflector it focuses the beam less so you get a larger more useful spot. What good is a spot a foot wide at 20 feet really (M2). 3 brightness levels strobe and SOS ... Seems if you press and hold the power button for about 4 seconds when turning it OFF and ON it remembers the setting otherwise it goes to the next one in sequence. This is a great light ... The 2500mah cell arrives tomorrow - big light needs a big cell to power it ... getting dark outside so it's time for an outside test!
