I finally got to fly my new Micro Xtra 300 on Saturday. The wind finally calmed down. After fixing the issue with my alieron servo that would not move to the left (had to run the linear servo all the way to each extreme and it finally worked) I was able to try to fly it...or sort of. The hand launch was ok but I could not get much above 30' or so. The plane kept stalling, even at full throttle. It was grossly underpowered. I thought maybe the Nano Tech 370mah (being all of 9.8g heavier) was too heavy. So I changed it out for the OEM battery. No good. Still underpowered. The final stall was the worst and ended in a crash which broke the wing. There is no reason to try to purchase a new wing if the plane is still underpowered. I'm not spending any more money on it.

Motor defective out of box. I contacted HK, didnt receive a response for 24 hours so I started a Live support chat. They hung up on me without any discussing of the issue. So I posted on HK's facebook page, they deleted it. So I posted again, HK banned me from their Facebook page. I finally received an email from HK this afternoon, saying problem resolved... Um, they never even addressed it or sending me a replacement motor. My review: Not good. I have never even got the 300 in the air. Posting this to my youtube (14 million plays on the channel)

wanted to buy this plane to try my first flight out of the simulator in a football field. What discourages me is that your engine burns much rpdio, with only a few flights and nessecidade to replace the entire machine to be a good deal.

Awesome little plane, postage took a few weeks, but never the less, this plane can fly. Have already put over 2 hours of flight time into this plane and have not found one issue yet. Very unbreakable, awesome technology on the pop off prop, can fly reasonably slow, perform mild 3D stunts, could have a slightly bigger motor, but its doesnt really matter. Awesome plane, considering buying another.

I have been flying for 25 years and currently compete in IMAC. I got this plane for Christmas and have flown it every day since. It is one of the funnest planes I have flown. It keeps you on your tows. I would not recomend as a beginner plane but it is a kick in the pants!

I placed an order from the U.S. warehouse on December 20th within the 48 hours required for a Friday delivery (per advertisement on the website) Friday has come and gone and the order doesnt even show as shipped. this was to be a Christmas present. thanks for screwing that up for my kids.

Packaged great and arrived 3 days early! Fly's great, though a little small for a beginner (me) to see the orientation from any distance. I will however say that this thing is TOUGH! I nose dived it full speed too many times to count and all I have had to do was replace the prop once and add some tape to the body because I broke a tab. I do wish they had more replacement parts but all in all a really cool little airplane for a heck of a price!

got the plane, assembled it which was really easy. powered it up to test the control surfaces and none of the servos are strong enough to move the surfaces like they should. The surfaces move and the servo gets stuck. i never even got a chance to fly it. Sent it back and i am awaiting a response to see if hobbyking will make things right............doubtful

Plane arrived in great condition in packaging. Assembly is super simple. Just plug in and screw in the wing with a single screw. Optional Landing gear slide into a slot on the bottom of the plane.
Battery compartment has a very small opening making it a challenge to get the battery out once it's in. A trick I found was to pull the lead to the receiver out and put batter in before connecting the wire. Then with both connectors out of the small opening, connect them and stuff the wires in. This makes it easy to be able to grab the wires and gently tug on the battery to get it into a position where you can grab it for removal.
CG seems is tail heavy, so make sure to push battery as far forward as possible. For a bit of added stability, I taped a quarter into the nose and that seemed to do wonders for the stability of the plane, although, making it slightly heavier. (I'm not sure how much a U.S. quarter weighs).
Control rods were attached to the second most outer hole on control horns, giving the control surfaces about 1mm or throw. The elevator servo seems to be defective. It is extremely weak and can barely move the elevator. I had to move the control rod to the outer most hole on the control horn to get enough leverage to move the elevator. Moving it in to any of the inner holes resulted in zero movement of the elevator.

Overall a nice little plane. Tape the elevators, ailerons etc as they are foam hinges which come apart easily. Buy some spare props when you buy it as even with the prop saver design, my two props broke in half after a couple of misjudged landings on its first outing. They're cheap on this site so chuck a few in! Agree about lack of power but then for a cheap park flyer what do you expect- plenty of fun to be had.
