in a few word, I would say this MIG is a great surprise! I do not give it 5 stars because the original EDF exploded. Not sure if it's a miss handling from me or a defect from the product. I replaced it with the turnigy 50 mm edf available in Europe. Also there is barely room for the reciever. I'm flying it on a 3 cell 1300 mah battery. Hand launch is easy and if you do not fly full throttle you can reach easily 5 minutes flying time. It flies well, good presence in the air and easy to recover in case of stall. The sound is good, more blase on the edf might have been better but I like it.

Went together very quickly. Parts fit very nicely. Paint is OK, a bit rough looking in places, but can't complain for the price. I have yet to fly it, but the building experience was very positive. It looks great!

Nice Parkflyer. I used good foam glue and did not mount the under-wing rockets as they will break off anyway during landings. Installed a 1000mA Turnigy 3s battery, CG was spot on. The wings appeared slightly warped.
Hand launch requires speed!!! I wonder if the "discus start" would be better, does anyone have experience with this?
Make sure that the control surfaces are set up correctly. Specifically the separately controlled elevators can generate a "deltawing control effect". No experience yet with the motor lifetime. After trimming flies beautifully.
Landing is a breeze, she comes in like a glider.

This is not the best plane.. The fan is unbalanced, the wings are warped and the aileron adapter was faulty. Other than that, it flies well on 3s and glides pretty good too. Wont win any speed races. You really get what you pay for here.

Not flown yet as weather too poor, but first impressions are that it is well-made and the parts fit well together. Not sure whether the wing bombs are all that useful and will survive a normal "ditch" landing - we will see!!
Balance was pretty good, using a Rhino 1050mAh 3s, although the compartment for the batt and rx is a bit small. I cut 4mm off the battery support block, and scraped out some of the starboard side to make provision for the balance lead. Still tight. The pushrods to the elevator are too loose for my liking, so I drilled 2 holes in the fin and used a cable tie to hold them in position. Now the elevator control is more precise

3rd plane I've bought from hobby king and once again I'm pleasantly surprised. Added about 1.5oz to the nose and it flies on a rail hands off the controls. Powerful enough to do rolls and loops. For $70 it's a great little jet. Love the way the silhouette of the mig looks in the sky. Hard to beat. Thanks HK

Wow, this little Mig-15 is actually a lot better than I expected. I build most of my planes from scratch foam...but I have had four of these inexpensive ($100 or so) EDF jets. Most often they are underpowered and with very small wing area, difficult to fly. This Mini MIG-15 is an exception. With the mods outlined below, I tossed it into the air and it fllllllew nicely,well- balanced, and very controlable right ffrom the start. Mods I made:

1. Because these little EDF's are often underpowered I cut another opening about 1inch by 2 inches wide in the bottom to allow more air to the fan.

2. The long elevator control rods flex too much. I hot glued the tubing to the side of the airplane on the tail. Made the rods a bit stiffer, and I had full elevator function.

3. To fit a 1000mHr 3S battery and Spectrum receiver, I had to enlarge the interior volume of the cockpit a bit - I used a soldering iron to melt foam. Worked well. I glued in a velcro strip to hold the battery securely.

4. I set CG at 95mm just as the manual says....a slight adjustment in location of the 1000 mHr battery gave perfect balance.

The little Mig flew GREAT right on the first toss! I may buy another of this series EDF's!

Got the plane, well packed, no damage. Cabin very tight, cables passing right over the elevator servo, so moved it back on the body right before tail fin. Used Turnigy nano-tech 1300mAh 3S 25C battery (HK order nr N1300.3S.25), fits perfectly in the battery compartment (had to shave off 1-2 mm of the canopy though). The CG is 5 mm close to the nose than recommended, but it should be fine. The servos are slow, rather weak and make a lot of noise. Not too happy with them but let's see how they fare. Haven't flown the plane yet, will get back with experiences from that. Pictures of the mods under the Files section. Cheers!

Skyangel Mig 15. 50mm ducted fan.
My first EDF. Turnigy 800 mAh 3S with Orange 6 channel. Stock ESC and Fan. Crashed 3 times before successful launch. I have been reviewing Youtube posted launches and realize 2 issues. 1. Underpower stock Fan. 2. posted CF 95 mm not the best location.
as such CF should be around 87-90mm aft of leading edge. Due to underpower stock fan should launch airplane in a horizontal matter. let plane pick up some speed before pulling up the airplane. Very loud motor. pretty sure did not balance properly but did not bother. otherwise a fun airplane. also repaired everything with 5 minute epoxy.

WOW, what a fun jet and extremely durable. This was the first plane I bought from hobbyking, my other planes were from parkzone, and this outshines the five parkzone planes that I own. I have bought over 14 planes from hobbyking since buying this plane, and none have measured up to this jet in terms of durability, ease of flight, and the "FUN" factor. You can never get bored with this plane, it screames in the air and draws attention every time I have it in the air, with NO expo or adjustments it flies like its on rails, and it has crashed twice (my fault) and NOTHING happened to it, its made of TOUGH EPO and designed in a way to just absorb crashes. I would even recommend for a newbie because of durability and ease of flight. NEGATIVES (2 of them) 1-battery compartment is a joke, you have to fit receiver and battery in a very small space so buy the smallest 3s 800 battery you can find and be prepared to use a knife to cut out foam to make room. 2-have to toss it into the air like a javelin at the olympics at full throttle to keep it it in the air initially or it will come tumbling down, once in the air you can ease up on throttle to the point that it can glide. Last piece of advice, keep the bombs attached because it flied better with them and protects servo arms on landing.
