    Turnigy Ni-ZN (Nickel-Zinc) batteries offer high voltage and excellent cycle life when compared with Ni-CD/Ni-MH batteries.

     

    The nominal voltage of these Turnigy Ni-ZN cells is 1.6V compared to that of only 1.2V with Ni-CD/Ni-MH. This means more power for your device and longer usable capacity. Our Ni-ZN cells provide on average 50% more usable capacity per cycle compared to a standard Ni-CD/Ni-MH cell of the same rated capacity.

    NiZn 1.6v Batteries a nice fit in RC radio

    I find these battles a better fit and better voltage at 1.6 v than NiMH batteries at 1.6v. Sometimes a rechargeable AA in order to have sufficient flight time has to have a higher mah rating but then is too wide to properly fit in the battery compartment. I plan to do tests on voltage drop-off point. So far they seem to last much longer than the receiver battery.

    One instance, our Salt and Pepper grinders run on 4 AA cells, we've been using rechargeable, High Quality AA's, but they are 1.2 volt, and they struggle.
    We switched to the NI-ZN, and they really perform and so far a single charge lasts very well indeed! They surprise me because the load is substantial.
