I haven't thrown a prop on it yet but the construction looks fine, lightweight, no issues. I ran it without a prop and it is smooth. I have an older E-flite motor on my plane for now.
I had an 1800Kv NTM that HK discontinued - sadly I lost it in a crash, that is why I ordered this one. The 1800 was an amazing motor - could handle 8 W of input power per gram of motor mass. The majority of RC motors handle 3~4 W/gm. Yep, it was that good. Which is why I'm not worried about this one either. I couldn't spot any flaws in the build and I think it'll do fine in the air.

Update Flight Test

Just an update on my flight test with this motor. Ended up fitting 2 more grub screws with added loctite as the 1 grub screw kept coming loose after further bench testing using 11x5 prop on 3S which is drawing nowhere near the stated max current draw
Test flight in my Hellcat went well but as with many of the NTM range, it became noisy only after two 5min flights, disappointing but hey, it is cheap. Possibly now out of balance with the added hardware?
Once again, potentially a great motor let down with poor bearings
Ended up stripping it and fitting 2 ceramic replacement bearings which incidentally are the same size. Other than the issues mentioned, well built!

Bought this NTM on sale, looking to upgrade the outrunner in my Hellcat and use a 2 blade prop
Bench tested initially to check current draw only to find the can attempting to separate from the main body. Found the grub screw loose and not even aligned to the 'flat' ground on the shaft. Beware... align the flat with the grub screw and loctite in place and while your at it replace the cheesy circlip with a quality 'E' circlip before fitting. This thing has some serious grunt and is very smooth and quiet. Looking forward to testing it in the air

Hot motor, beware of excessive power!

Wow, what a hot rod! Seems to run well, but with an 8x8 APC prop on 4s, my amperage is WAY higher than they advertise on the product page. Mine is pulling 60.7 amps, for a total of 866 watts during static tests on a 4s pack. I'm happy...but don't skimp on the ESC. This thing is power hungry!

Bought 2 of them, the 1st one grilled after its first 3 minutes of flight! During that flight i never went over 55 amps: https://youtu.be/MEwWMDU9KVU wanted to install the 2nd one i bought, problem pin axle was loose, tried to screw it, then i realised than the screw thread itself was broken! What a shame to sell and promote this kind of crap! I almost crashed an rc plane with 800€ worth of equipment because of this motor, you shouldn't sell those!
