I use it in a little double decker (40 cm wingspan), quite quirly and fast. Was not so easy to fly without stabilisation - but with this receiver it´s a child´s play. If you follow the manual ( and don´t read some of the posts in the review), everything will work - easily!

I don't know if this is a good product or not . My issue is with the purchasing and retun policy of this company. You have warehouses in the US then you should accept credit cards and stop with the 3rd party garbage. Horizon hobby does not do this Amazon does not do this. So long Hobby KIng I be sure to pass this along to everyone I fly with.

This is a great little RX. The stabilization really helps in the wind. Be sure you note that this is the micro connector, not JR/Futaba.

Hi all,

not so satisfied so far with the receiver as the servo throw is too low for an agile mirco slow flyer which seems to me to be the typical use case for this kind of receiver. See also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPoFwtcJPFw where the problem is visually shown

The second comment on this. In the first, I couldn't get a signal from the ESC to the unit (no flashing LED). The problem was the voltage polarity to the receiver. I used a HobbyKing Molex 1.25 pigtail to connect to the Turnigy ESC. I simply connected the red on the pigtail to the red on the ESC, etc. This was wrong! I reversed the white and black and it works! If you went by what the WIRING section of the manual says you would be wrong! It is poorly written and refers to "inner pins" and "pins on the outer edge". Maybe a Chinese translation to English that didn't go well?

Habe diesen kleine Empfnger in der F16-Wurfgleiter verbaut. Mit 2x1,9g Servos und Aussenlufer mit 3 Zeller Flugakku. Alles zusammen ca. 80g. Das Ding ist ohne diesen Kreisel fast unfliegbar. Mit diesem Empfnger liegt der kleine Flieger wie ein Brett in der Luft. Super, sehr zu empfehlen.

Bought to put on my eflite inverza because its twitchy in wind. After finding out the wiring instructions are incorrect I corrected the wiring and the rx works well. I just need to fine tune it. As the wiring instructions say all signal wires are supposed to be towards the center of the 4 molex cluster, which is incorrect. The wires must be ground, pos, neg across the top and bottem if the molex connectors are at the top of the rx. Oh and on this plane the polarity of all the wires must be flipped. Its a pain but in the end its worth it.

Not very pleased with this device. The gyro simply does not give enough output to provide effective stabilization of a model aircraft. I fitted one into my little SPAD XIII and with gyro set to maximum on all axes it has vertually no effect on models stability. I purchased a second RX3SM incase the first was faulty but its performance was identical. The larger RX3S device produces much more control resonse to rotation. I would rate the RX3SM as useless and not recommend it to anyone.
