I bought a p47 thunderbolt from hobby king and could not have been more pleased . I was really surprised at the quality of the plane and the attention to detail . The retracts were of good steel and not some plastic crap like I expected . Everthing about this plane is top notch . All the parts were there and it only took 3 wesks from hong kong to my door step in kingston ontario canada . The instructions were adequate and assembly was simple . Thanks hobby king

Very nice plane. Easy to assemble and suprasingly easy and to fly. I created new motor mount from plywood. I gave it 2410-12 Brushless Outrunner Motor 1000kv with stock 1047 propeller. Not easy to do loops, but very easy to do rolls... :) Looks very realistics as you do close flybys.
Check my video from maiden fly:

Landing was my only mistake - trying to pull it a little, but huge moment from the propeller kick the left wing down...

Very funny to fly.
Small but very good in the fly if you can put the GC in the good position. I have put weight in the front, with it, perfect.
the magnets of the canopy are no goods... I lost my canopy for it.

Great flyer, I used a TowerPro 2409-18 1000kv / 180W with a APC SF 8x6 prop. This plane is a rocket on a 3S 1300Mah LiPo. Flies pretty well. CG is exactly on the landing gear position, you will nead a lot of lead to balance this plane. The landing gear is worthless on a grass strip, so leave them off. There are only 3 problems with this plane: 1) You will lose the canopy in flight, the magnet is not strong enough to hold it down. I fixed this by adding 2 extra magnets next to the original one. 2) The paint is not water and heatproof. It will come off and stick to your hands when assembling with warm hands. Carefull handling is required during assembly. 3) The included decals do not stick very well and will pull off the paint.

What an awesome quick build, you only need 2 servos, a receiver and a Towerpro esc/motor combo. The entire thing takes a few hours to build.

Just did the maiden and was quite surprised, it was first a little tail heavy and tricky to fly but I pushed the 1300mah 3 sell battery forward as far as it could go and it was fine.

Certainly not the easiest plane to fly but I'm more than happy with it, great fun. Have only had two short flights but think it might have a tendancy to tip-stall which may be why it's gotten some bad reviews, but for the price, this thing rocks as a 3rd or 4th park flyer.

This is an OK plane, even fun if u want something u can bring anywhere without the hassle. There is a saying, u get what u paid for, definately true for this plane, its a kit, which means u have to do some homework, so dont say this plane is crap and cant fly when u did not even balance the CG. Speaking of CG, my guess is the CG is inline with the wheel..landing gear etc and not the reinforcement spar. This kit does not come with lead weight, so u have to do the balancing urself. The way I set up mine, I put the ESC and Rx towards the front in the battery compartment, there is a rectangle hole that enable u to see the "2nd level", I enlarge the hole slightly so I can put my 1300 mAh 3S batt upright, my motor is 55g ontop of that I added 60g of weight, cant be sure as one of the weight I used had no label on it, when u balance that it will fly beautifully. One more thing, during construction, esp with the stabilizer and rudder, trial fitting first, see where the elevator horn and rudder horn are, chances are, u might have to shift the rudder 2 or 3 mm down to give some clearance to elevator. Add ur own hollow tube for the push rod to minimize flexing. I cut off the little wheel at the rudder since I am belly landing.

Bought two of these planes, assembled one with all the recomended bits ,trimed it , balanced it , flew it . What a piece of crap . Threw other one away , didnt even open the box. Not the first hobby king plane that has given this result . Does anyone test these planes before they go on the market or is it just a 1-2 warranty (once we have the money then its to late )

The wingspan is really 830 mm, and the length is 685 mm, a little smaller than advertised. And size matters in this hobby... right guys?
