Got my mustang a few weeks ago, waited forever for the motor to turn up so went and got one from my LHS. 870 KVA and apparently a .25 equivalent running a 11x8.5 prop, 4S 3000mAh. Its a bullet. heaps of power and rock solid in the air. Looks very scale (apart from the tail wheel). Nothing was damaged in the box, went together quite easily. The fin needed some adjusting in its slot to make it at right angles to the stab. Retracts are ok, fit in easily into the slots but when the wheel wells are installed there was some fouling during the retraction sequence. In all, just minor things that are easily overcome. if you are looking for something smallish, solid, fast and somewhat scale then buy this plane!

Very Nice Plane... one of my favorite war birds..unfortunately i have to comment on the tail wheel which should be re-positioned for the Value of the merchandize....super cheap.. and the quality is superb..... Good Job Hobbyking.....No other RC hobby Site offers quality rc products at a very affordable price...

Excelente modelo, bien terminado. Vuela muy bien con la configuracin recomendada: G25, 3000mha, 11x6... Dio un poco de trabajo hacer funcionar correctamente el tren retrctil, pero queda muy bonito! El nico inconveniente que tube fue, que los tornillos de sujecin del ala son cortos y no llegan. Muy contento con el modelo!!

This is just a gem of a plane, it looks fantastic in the flesh and more importantly in the air. It is as easy to fly as a Parkzone foamy warbird, but handles better, flies faster or slower better, sounds better etc etc.



I didnt fly it for a while after I built it as I was a bit concerned as it was my first balsa warbird, but I need not have been worried. Take offs and landings are just a breeze, very straight forward forward affairs.



Dont hesitate to buy as you will be thrilled with it!

Great Plane
very good quality wood kit, easy to assemble, everything fits. Plane flies wonderful with the settings from the assembly instruction. Mine is motorized with a 1000 rev/V motor 2200-3S Lipo. Flying weigth is 1300 gr w/o battery. Could be easily hand launched by the pilot, no tendency to roll after tossing.
Could be easily fine tuned by airbrush painting, mine is now a red tail from Tuskagee airmen.....

Toller Flieger, alles super verarbeitet und lsst sich dadurch super zusammenbauen. Das mitgelieferte Einziehfahrwerk funktioniert super :-)

this was my first balsa plane,went together reasonably easy considering the instructions are simple and dont offer any technique hints,my set up was g25 710kv motor, 60amp turnigy plush,11x7x3 master air screw prop on a 4s 3300 nanotech gave me 550-540w @35amps and a 6min flight full noise,she was quite fast on the set up. i added 100gr of weight to the rear fuse to get c of g as close to spec as possible,probibly due to the aluminium spinner being quite heavy, AUW 1850grams, chose smaller prop due to grass landing strip,retract servo fitting is a mega pain i would go servoless just for the simplicity,flys well and would recommend to any one with a lil experience building,lost mine on 12th flight after putting her into a stall to see how she reacts,needless to say i couldnt recover even from hight,everything from canopy forward is gone,so need to buy another one

Couple flights on this one now. Setup with a plush 60a esc, G25...970kv motor and a 12x8 prop. I installed some servo less retracts and aluminum nose cone. I move CG forward 10mm from the recommended spot with the plane still tipping to the from some....perfect! The plane has plenty of power with a 2600mah 4S batt and flys straight as an arrow...vertical is unlimited. Plane does exactly what you tell it to do and the stall seems very good...surprising for a balsa P-51. Landings are fairly easy but will take a few more to get it down pat as the bird seems to want to float a lot. Over all it really is a great deal...go buy one!

Mooi vliegtuig, hier en daar bij het bouwen wat aandachtspuntjes. Het voor-boren wordt niet aangegeven, het monteren van het hoogteroer en stabilo is ff tricky en de nylon bouten om de vleugel te bevestigen zijn te kort? haha... Heb er een 64mm spinner (zit er niet bij) en een 35-48er 1250kv motor bij besteld. Had wel een super snelle bezorging via deze nieuwe magazijn locatie. Iets meer betalen maar niet lang wachten :D

Ha llegado en perfectas condiciones, muy bien embalado. Los acabados son muy buenos. De momento lo voy a motorizar con la electronica recomendada por HK.
