I purchased a Salangane 2.2 f3f , put in a gliderdrive 1120 kv 820w motor, 70 amp esc, 1800 3s 65c-125c lipo.. 12x10' folder * turbo spinner. arranged items for zero additional weight. It's a screamer - goes vertical and can disappears in 20 second or so.. directions are terrible ..especially for electric build.. Plane is GREAT, and can also thermal decent .. ed

Superb. Im sick of reading bad things about hobbyking.
I ordered this glider last week on sale, 1700hkd instead of 2100, it arrived in a week, and the packing and quality of the parts is exceptional.
I think HKing is listening and improving all aspects of their operation.
you can please ten people and they wont say anything, but if you upset one person, they will make a fuss.
I just want to say this is superb, cant wait to get it in the air.

What a great Hotliner. I bought two and have finished the first one as E-Version.

received my plane after 3 weeks and opened with excitement. very well packaged with no damage and certainly looked good on first inspection of the v-tail.Then opened up the wings only to discover that on the left wing panel the aileron would not deflect down wards. Looking at the other wing discovered that I had 2 left hand wings. have filled in the appropriate return details but not happy that I have to pay to return a faulty item at my cost. Be interesting to see how long it takes to get another plane sent out. So much for a QA system.

A first review about the Salangane, the second review will be a bout the flight. The parts were very well fixed inside the box. A bit too well when i unboxed the wing a bit of color on the flap came off. A pity. At the first sight everything looked fine, smooth surface and a lot of loose parts. Let's go for it. Assembling this bird was not as easy as the Riot glider for example. The construction manual is well illustrated but some steps are not realy clear.
Mounting a V-Tail is never easy but this time it took to long. This construction is no good!!! And the carbonfiber pushrods in plastic tubes are rubbish! A small kink and the servo needs a lot more force. Solution was sanding the pushrod and use WD40.
The thing that makes me really unhappy are the Flaps. On one wing they move so easy and on the other you need way to much force. Up to now i have no solution for this problem.
Now i'm going to make this thing fly. I am curious how it goes and i'm sure this glider looks very good in the sky
