RP SMA, I copied and past the old description to get 0.02 dollars free and I'm sorry for that, it's been a long time but now it's "usefull review" time !

I bought this product 2 times (cause the first fried due to a power on without the antenna) I was really happy whith that, I made 7 Km range with perfect made cloverleaf (4 lobes on the transmitter) and helical antenna (3.5 turns on the receiver).
You can remove the fan unit because it's useless and noisy (the inbuilt microphone is close to the fan) you also have 15 gr. less.
Be sure that your TXis well placed and still cool because the TX goes warm really fast (even if you let the inbuilt fan unit).

Works well. This is my second one.They have stopped glueing the antenna! But the fan is a little bit noisy. You will hear it if your camera records the sound as well.

I wanted to replace the dipole on clover, but was unable to unscrew the antenna. It was glued to the connector. And when I tried to unscrew the antenna connector broke away from the board.

Antenna comes glued, but is very easy remove it using pliers. I put a cloverleaf, remember that is RP-SMA connector.

I have both the 200mw and 500mw versions. They're both equally good transmitters. This one (500mw) gives me about 50pcnt more range than the 200mw. I flew with a blue beam set (cloverleaf skew planar) today using this transmitter, got 550m out with absolutely perfect video. I also took the fan off as others suggested, doesn't run hot with decent air flow. Very happy with this product! The 200mw version is great as well if you need to save some weight.

For now, after 2 month of use, good product.
I was able to unscrew the original antenna with great difficulty because pasted. I replaced it with cloverleaf antenna
I reached 500 meters without interference.

I was using 200mw and had no issues at all and bought this unit and it works great. The fan is a good addon but really isnt needed if the transmitter is located outside the aircraft. You will also save about 100mw in power by removing the fan. Gives longer range for perfect video.

Just recently received my 500mw tx and during initial testing found that whenever I throttled up my video got very distorted or would static out completely. After much fussing and trying various setups I found the cause was the built in mic. Took it off the board and that solved the problem completely. I had removed the fan before that to save weight as the tx was directly in the airflow. It had also been causing a few lines of interference. Now I can get back to some more range testing. Might actually get to maiden next time out!
