Mine doesn't find the exact channel in use but tunes itself on one of the close channels. For example, if my Vtx is using 5.800, the scanner won't find 5.800 but 5.760, 5.810, 5.780, etc.
Good as normal receiver but not good as scanner.

Why the heck did skyzone change from an RPSMA antenna connection back to the older style SMA connection for this product!

I bought the "Skyzone Plug-N-Play FPV 500-Set" and after the LCD on the receiver stopped working after only a week (the rest works though, but it does make it difficult to find your frequency!) and living with it for 6 months, I decided to upgrade to this receiver.

2 problems:
1. The a/v connectors are female and and the screen that comes with the HK cheapo goggles are female as well and I can't use the cable set that came with my Plug-N-Play kit because it uses 2.5mm jacks and this uses 3.5mm jacks!
2. The antenna connections are old style SMA connectors, but the clover leaf antenna's that came with the Plug-N-Play set are RPSMA!

You would have though that skyzone would retain at least some consistency with their connectors!
I've got a male/male A/V cable so I can still use my HK goggles, but until the slow boat from china arrives with my adapter I am stuck with my old receiver still.

Regardless of the connector issues, I'm still given the kit 4/5 because my indoor testing has produced good results. And the auto tuning is very easy!

This unit is a must have for anyone flying FPV on 5.8ghz just as a safety precaution alone it is well worth the value! Searching the frequencies before you fly should be everyone's rule number one. There is no better way to search the frequencies you use than a scanning receiver and this is the one! Works well right out of the box and is easy to use. You will not regret getting this little beauty!

Quick to lock on to an in use channel. Handy for 'ride alongs' with other people flying as well. The case is reasonably solid, and RX performance is on par with the competition.

A good receiver, works well and simple to use, be aware it will find the neighbouring channel as well as the one you want so make sure you use the centre channel. I bought to use the scanner to make sure the airwaves are clear, but I have to hit search at the end of each search cycle, not a deal breaker, but a bit of a pest, outside of that very happy.

Works great! I have only tried on my Boscam system, but it immediately found the channel.

I have not done a range test, but I expect it to be the same as my other Boscam receivers.

As noted, it uses a standard SMA connector for the antenna - not the RPSMA like boscam products.
