I would buy ANY other brand but this one! They are terrible! Let's see now, if you don't ever touch the blades you won't strip the main gear, good luck trying to program it, needs a bigger battery, the swash plate pops apart on the slightest ***p and the servos are too weak to pull it out of a dive... Shall I go on? I would buy the Walkera Mini CP with Devo7 Tx. FAR SUPERIOR!!!

UK this is one great product the value is great, quality is also pretty good and I love the shipping from the US Wharehouse. I find it almost impossible to fly right now because I have never flown a 3d heli. I have crashed it tons of times and no damage. Going from the eflite blade mcx to this is a big difference. Another thing does know if you can shut off the reverse pitch and be able to come all the way off the throttle and still have downward thrust pitch? THANKS HK for the great product.

This thing is awesome and for the price, cannot be beat. It flies like the mcpx, the tail holds better than the mcpx, you can even modify it to take mcpx parts so you have local availability. The tx programming can be a bit tricky but there is a great tutorial on youtube and TONS of help over @ rcgroups.

this thing can take crashes with little or no damage and it can fly inverted. i have flown it inverted by launching it upsidedown but it is difficult to flip it. only problems are that the tail blows out very easily, my motor wire broke off at the base of the motor plate (re soldered it and it works now) and i don't like how the throtle hold is on the left side of the transmitter infront of the idle up (all of my transmitters have throtle hold on the right side). it might just be me but the tail seems a little slugish when pushing the rudder all the way to one side. be careful not to crash it with power to the motor, the main gear might get stripped. the swash plate will seperate if you crash which is good because it saves other parts. depending on your experience you might want to change the default transmitter thro/pitch curves. price is great. not sure how to fix the tail blowout problem but im sure the 120 sr tail mod or one of the other larger solopro fp heli tail booms would work. the heli doesnt make as much noise as i though it would but it did preform a little less than i expected but overall great heli for the price.

After big disappointment of solo pro 180 I gave second chance to nine eagle product and brought it this one ($79 couldn't resist), I just love it, came perfectly set it up for me, handful little baby, I could hover in my small size basement no problem, I'll try outside when there is no wind but I can see this will fly outside without any worries, 5 star all the way.

This is the best way to go if you are trying to learn how to fly! People will tell you to go with a 450 or 500 size heli to learn. Trust me, after a few crashes and the repair bill cost more than the helicopter, you will wish you bought this one. I have tried to learn to fly on a 450 size heli. Every time I crashed it, it cost me $50. I (you) need stick time to learn how to fly, so I would repair it so I could keep flying. By the end of the first week of ownership, I had spent $150 in repair cost, and I was no better at flying it. I got rid of it because I could not afford the crashes (FYI, I did the simulator stuff. It helps, but not as much as you think it should). With the Solo Pro 100, crash and repair cost is dirt cheap and you are flying a REAL 3d helicopter. Also, some people think RC helicopters is fun and games. 250, 450, 500 size helis and up can be REALLY dangerous (youtube some helicopter accidents. It is brutal). It is a must that you know what you are doing. The solo pro 100 is a safe way to learn how to fly helicopters (FYI, if you hit yourself or someone else on bare skin with the solo pro 100, it does hurt! Respect the machine!). Spending $80 on the solo pro 100 could be saving you or someone elses life. If you can fly this, you can fly anything! A few things beginners should know:

1) If you are a beginner, your living room will not be big enough fo

Purchased 2 of these from the USA warehouse. Both arrived quickly which was nice. One was pristine in the box, internal plastic packaging was sealed. Out of the box it set up well and flies pretty well (a bit too breezy on the test flight so not much flight time yet).

The second one is a different story. The box shows wear (not so much damage) and had been written on. The packaging was intact internally but the Solo 100 has a broken swashplate. The transmitter still looks unused, and the screwdriver that comes with these is missing. I have contacted HobbyKing customer service but already have previous poor experience with their RMA process so will likely go find the part at another retailer (HK does not have a swashplate in stock, and I doubt customer service will send me one in a timely manner).

Overall the working heli meets expectations, but I dread HK customer service to remedy the defective one in a reasonable amount of time. The swashplate is an inexpensive part so overall the value is still good despite the inconvenience of inoperability for a week or two.
