I have installed this motor in a Top Flite 82inch wingspan Cessna 182. The ESC is a Sentilon 100 HV as I am using 10S 3300mAh battery packs (two 4S and one 2S packs) with a 16x10 APC prop. Model weight is 12lb and current draw is 37amps. Full power is not required for take off and I usually fly round on about half power for 9 minutes before landing. Batteries still have plently of power left, a great motor and esc combination

Have had this motor for a while finally got around to bench testing it.
On 6s set up i was getting some good results around 5.5-6 kg thrust then it came to a grinding halt. The drum of the motor had moved over the windings grinding the magnets into them. Following a strip down of the motor it was found a cir-clip had popped out of its grove and allowed the shaft to slide through the bearing destroying it in seconds.

I think this is a great motor for the money and would get another one again if they ever come back in stock but strongly advise anyone who purchases this motor to strip it down and check these cir-clips are set properly. I have a metal lathe and will be increasing the depth of the grove if they ever come back in stock again.

Like all turnigy motors, looks good and well finished.
My power train is 63-54 A, 100HV ESC, 10S2P 5000mAh.

At 1500m altitude,
17x10 Turnigy, 42A @ 1500 watts = 4.5 Kg thrust
18x10 Apc, 50A @ 1800 watts = 5 Kg thrust.
19x10 Apc, 55A @ 1900 watts = 5.3 Kg thrust.

Just a quick question for everybody.

Why does my motor have a model number C6354-250 and the motor is listed in the specs as a C63-64-B

Can the specs be trusted?

VERY powerful engine, nicely balanced, barely any vibration when running it w/o load on high volt (34V) and LOTS of power and torque

Awesome machine > 2600W with 12s. Sentilon 100A and 3 year old Rhino's prove their endurance.

TURNIGY Sentilon100A HV 5-12S BESC (Ver4)

TGS Sport 19x10E 12s1p->56.26Ap 33.79Vm 1912Wp

Note: there is a 16 drop in power in test #3 to #5 when the battery is at storage and should therefore deliver 3000w @12s on a full charge

Note2: these are 3 year old Rhino batteries with >200 flights on them!
and were operating at only 9C to 13C rating (even though they are rated 20C - so have plenty of power left )!

I don't know what size prop should I use.

I want to use a 3-blade prop and I don't want the motor to drain more than 50 Amps at full throttle. I'm using 8S 5000 Lipos.

Thanks for your suggestions.
