I have purchased 6 of this type of motor

Two have given problems, the same problem

The lead insulation on some motors is not long enough

It does not insert into the motor housing far enough

Bench testing never fails

When the motor is inserted into the fan unit, the leads are bent to fit

This causes the insulation to exit the motor housing and a short cct happens as the bare copper touches the motor housing. Sometimes an immediate problem, or after a few test runs

Solution - ensure that the outer insulation iof the lead is well within the motor casing

Bearings are smooth, Windings are neat and well done. 36,000 rpms so far :-) quietly and smoothly.
