Well engineered item
But it does not fully extend or retract fully.
Motor does not park properly. Also not easy to fit in narrow tail of aircraft. Needs some out of the box thinking.
Great value for $ but would pay more for product if it parked positivly.

Retract tail wheel for large scale model planes

Brilliant piece of engineering! Tried operation on a servo tester, and it worked a treat. Will be perfect for my large scale P 47 Thunderbolt. Or for any large scale scale model with a retracting tail wheel, eg P 51 Mustang

Cheap but not quality

I have no issues with the retracting motor but the aluminum material is relatively soft. That means there is now some play (turn) on the wheel leg as connected to the steering arm, in less than 10 flights. Still steerable, we will see.

Bon matériel mais fragile.

Je monte cette roulette sur un Yak 1B 50cc échelle 1/4, poids <12Kg. home made.
C'est pas le top mais c'est léger, j'ai rallongé le bras inférieur et les dimensions sont correctes, j'ai remplacé la roue par une plus légère l'ensemble pèse 106gr ce qui est très bon pour un organe situé à l'arrière.

On the maiden fight of my new P-40 50cc, It failed to come back down. I had to land it with No tail wheel. I should have not used a cheap Tailwheel Assembly on a $1800 plane. Thanks hk
