Very poor. Has a brass bushing instead of a bearing on the latest one I got. The little clip seats outside of the bushing and thus creates a lot of drag in the motor as well.

It's quiet fit in building quad/Qocto copter and using 2200 lipo battery. The quad/Qocto have the ideal weight then can fly about 7 - 10 minutes

Turnigy BELL TR2410-8

Mar 27, 2009

I purchased this motor along with the SuperSimple 20A speed control to replace a brushed direct drive 480 motor in a 20 oz Decathlon foamie. With the direct drive setup the brushed 480 barely had enough torque to stay in the air. Converting to the Turnigy BELL TR2410-8 and LiPo batteries saved over 2 oz and the plane can now clime out at 45 degrees.

The only issue I have had with this motor is keeping the set-screws tight. They should not have been spaced 180 degrees apart. I changed the set-screw spacing to 90 degrees and have not had another issue.

A fine geared EPS-350C replace

Nov 14, 2007

Performance wise, this motor is very close to the GWS EPS-350C-DS. It has the EPS-350C-DS' weight and about the same thrust per given battery and propeller. It's a tad bit more efficient and can be pushed a little harder but it's still basically a 1.1-for-1 GWS power system replacement. Your Slow Stick with this motor will fly much like it had the stock motor.

The motor's base is a bit too small for the supplied [GWS] plastic stick mount so I epoxied a plywood circle into the mount for a screw base. The prop shaft only has 1/2 bolt threads so just push your GWS prop all the way down to the base then bolt tight from the outer end. The motor itself differs from most CDROM's in that its wound with 4 strands of thin angel hair in a Wye configuration (as opposed to Delta) giving the motor a lower KV, higher torque, and quieter whine free running. The quality itself is fair, mixed. The 14 magnets are a tad small, the gaps a little wide and uneven, and the windings are on the sloppy side but such marginally affects the motor's performance. The bearings were tight and there was no noticeable balance or bell wobbles issues although the standard firewall mount only has 2 grub screws when 3-4 would work better if your Xmas tree stand only had 2 opposing bolts, you would just lean your tree against the wall. I've had many good flights with this motor and I like its potential to be rewound LRK/DLRK (14m - 12p).

It's an interesting, rugged, inexpensive, and serviceable motor. I give
