Just finished some bench testing on this motor:

Rm: 0.047 ohm (measured between any two motor leads)

Kv: 348 to 376 [rpm/volt] depending on controller advance (4-30 degrees)

Io: 1.05 to 1.30 [amps] @ 12.6v depending on advance (4-30 degrees)

Motor came without connectors. Motor is well ballanced and has some flux leakage from the motor can. No funny noises. 12 tooth stator with a 14 pole rotor.

I just got this motor last week and have tested it with a few different props. I have it mounted on a .60 size P51 Mustang, at first I tried a 14 x 7 thin prop and got 7000 rpms on 6 lipos, I then tried a 14 x 7 APC and got around 6800 rpms. This would of been good on a lighter plane but this plane is pretty heavy. Then I tried a 15 x 12 on 6 lipos and that did the job. The only negative was the thin prop shaft on adapter and loose fitting nut.

Turnigy e-drive 4030/10

I'm using the 4030/10 in a CMPro P-26 Peashooter. Batteri 6S 5000mAh Lipo and a 14/7 thin prop. The engine is pulling around 5 kg thrust and is running very smooth. Best buy at that price. 5 Stars from me

Turnigy e-drive 4030/10

Very nice looking motor but it also has plenty of power! On my test stand I got the following results using my eagletree data loger:

Battery: 10S A123 2300mah cells 36V(all I had on hand for testing)

ESC: Turnigy Sentilon 100A HV

Prop: APCE 16X8

Full Throttle: 1200 watts @ 35amps

RPM works out to around 13,000 (batt voltage under load X KV of the motor)

After a 30 second full throttle run motor was warm but I wouldn't say hot at all. Next stop for this motor is the nose of my 4 meter sailplane!

Just received this motor as a replacement for the other one I have. I just wanted the prop mount adapter because the threads stripped on the previous one. NOW THIS ONE stripped too. this a serious design flaw. I do not recommend this to anyone else unless you want to have your plane to had a prop strip in mid flight.

14-7 prop on 6s

Nov 14, 2007

First. 6s at 375kv max RPM is 8250 - NEVER 14x7 prop and 5 rg thrust!!!

I use this motor with 6s 4250mA + Turnigy Plush 80 with 14x7 thin prop - above 2.3 kg thrust. APC-E 16x8 and 15x10 props give 3-3.2 kg thrust and maximum 32...34A... Hmmm... I whant more! But I can not use more than 6s....

HobbyKing! What prop give 4 kg thrust on this motor and 6s?
