Great fit to replace RUBBISH gear on the Durafly Corsair 1100

Jul 04, 2019

I would like to fully recommend this gear, although the wheels are a bit small, and I changed them which was a little annoying .. as now they don't spin as freely. I think they are a bit pricey, and they shouldn't have been required at all when the rubbish gear on the Corsair broke after 3 flights (small pin to rotate them).

I agree with other reviewer! I bought these to fit A1 skyraider but they don't fit.
Oleo leg is not 88mm from axle to top as seen in picture, it is actually a fraction over 85mm. It is not easy to extend at all so I am looking for a pair of legs 95mm to match the retract unit. I'm still looking, I'll update if I find any. Nice unit though leg pin is small.

I purchased as replacements for my Durafly F4U Corsair (note: these are only around $10 more than the stock units, but appear a lot more durable). They arrived nicely packaged and include a y harness, although I'd say you'll also need an set extensions for just about all situations you want to install in. Now, the set that I received had an issue where the grub screws that hold the legs in line, where stripped. So, I started a claim to HK and in almost complete contradiction to all the complaints I see on these forums, HK where responsive and very helpful. AND instantly replaced the faulty units! Thank you HobbyKing,

I can not comment on the performance yet, but while they are not a straight swap for the Corsair units, there is not a lot of modification needed. I'll report back after a few flights.

Received 2 sets of theses retracts, to go into the HKing Durafly Skyraider, took a bit of work, but they went in, and YEEHAH...a rough landing wont result in bent or broken retracts, Thanks Hobbyking

These are very nice, BUT they do not fit the A1 sky raider 1600mm as I found out. I had read in the discussion that they were a perfect fit, not true for me. Wheels are to small, so if you want to use the ones that come with the plane you have to drill the leg and then find a pin or nut n bolt to hold the wheel. Also you have to extend the lower arm and top main arm if you use other wheels or they hit the wing, also you have to cut the wheel covers out to fit around the metal gear as it comes up when opening. And last you need to make sure you get a pair as I didn't and now I have to repostion the arm that twists the leg to the opposite side... Very good wheels just not a direct fit for the 1600mm A1 Sky raider!!
