I wrote a review a while back. Now after I did some analysis of my video (frame by frame, down to 0.01 sec precision), my jets (Exceed Mig15, two jets modified from Dynam Meteor, all weighs around 3 lb flying weight) that are outfitted with this motor and 5-blade rotor at 2200mah 6s 30-40C and high timing all rans around 100mph, given good intake and some small cheater holes.

I am running this motor in several of 70mm EDF, 5-blade (Eflite as well as Venom, etc.). At high timing, 2200mah 6s 40C battery drew around 40Amp, around 900W. In my homemade F-104 (~1.3 kg flying weight), with cheater hole right in front of the fan, the plane is hitting over 90 mph, fantastic vertical. Great value for the low cost. Would recommend to anyone who is flying 70mm EDF and wants to upgrade the power system for performance.

On a 70mm ChangeSun 10 blade fan with a 6S 2650mAH 30C Vortex battery, 100 A Dlux esc, ambient test temp 16C. It drew a max of 1250 Watts with 1.65 kg of static thrust on my test bench. Leveled out to around 1100 Watts after about 30 sec, ran smoothly with not discernible vibration. Motor was moderately warm after a two minute run mostly at full throttle. Will be used in an F18.

Hobby King please stock this in the USA warehouse ASAP! I've been waiting for this in the warehouse like forever don't like the international warehouse as it takes too long to get here in the USA.for anyone on the fence about this motor get it! at $13.45 its a steal! imagine doing a twin 70mm/10blade set-up for only $27! plus cost of esc and EDF unit of course! so far I have built a scratch built Viper single 70mm/10blade/2200mah-30C/6S and power to efficiency is awesome! smooth turbine sound, efficient! 51A/1100 Watts full throttle 4min flight/battery at 15pcnt approx. 3.4-3.5V per cellmaybe because my airframe is only 1.8lbs it has unlimited vertical as long as your lipo will handle. on 2200/30C/6S is very good but I think a 2650 45C/6S setup would maximize its performance will post soon I test it. anyone interested in seeing a video of my Viper Jet on this motor feel free to ask. I only take the time to highlight the products I really like and this one is a jewel and I hope others do the same to help everyone get a good experience in the hobby.

So far this has been a good motor but my main gripe is that it doesn't come with the mounting screws and they are hard to find.

Set up two twin 70mm CS 12 blade sets (one for the FW ME262 and the other for the Windrider 737). Cheap motor that will pull way over 900watts on a decent 6S battery. If you run it continuously over 900w it will smoke, as I found out in testing. I cut the streamlined bell shorter to get better cooling and also dremeled the shroud motor cooling holes in an effort to keep this motor from burning. Perfect 5S motor in the CS 12 blade fan. I run 6S and limit the current through my ESC and transmitter throttle travel. This limiting of power is hard on the ESC so I use a 100A ESC (Red brick). The motors are not balanced which requires extra work if you want the smoothest running EDF . Dynamic balancing won't be perfect unless you balance the motor bell first as the mass is so far from the fan.

Excellent motor, just got it in a few days ago and did some tests. Very smooth, built very well and accurately, no vibrations. I havent done extensive testing, but very promising and has shown so far that it will be very capable. I will be running the highest voltage, of 6s lipo and a 100 amp esc. So i hope to get it up to the 900W mark! Get back to this if i have any failures, or things to point out! Good quality!

Bought this motor just to put in spares box. I already have the L2855-2300 in a CS70 10 blade fan and its a great motor, so thought I better get this one too...

Hi all. I have bought a couple of 2855-2100. First motor was good, I've got more than 1600w and 1,9 kg static trust at 71A!!! Second motor was bad, so I've got 1300w at 61a but only 0,6kg of static trust :( I've ordered two additional motors. I hope they will be good madden ;) price is good if motor works as expected ;)
