Really nice and powerfull motor !
Use it on P51D 3,4Kg in 4S with 13x8 APC style prop ans works well. With this configuration, drop around 60A . Do the job !!!
Use with a 70A redbrick ESC.

The first one I bought for my 3kg Yak-55, the bearing noise started within 1 minute.
The noise is intermittent and occurs at certain RPM ranges when under moderate loads.
Doesn't seem to affect power much.
The second one I just bought for a spare came with some parts, but no prop adapter.
Swinging 16x10 on 4S, it pulls my Yak around unlimited, using 60-120C 3300mah Lipos

Hi.. i havr tried this motor without any prop.. and it draws 5 amp

Is that normal?

I tried it with a 13 x 10 prop on 6s bat with a 85amp esc and it cook the esc
It was drawing over 100 amps

Does anyone as some valid test of which prop/bat combination would give max thrust without going over 60amps. Im have 4s and 6s options.

Monster motor with very good quality!I fly this motor to a home made Extra 300 3D aerobatic plane 1200 wing spam 1250gr with 2200 4S battery 80A ESC and 15*8 2blade propeller(full throtlle gave me 70A)!I do all the acrobatics with half throtlle!7-8 mins of flying time.With biger battery you may need 100A ESC!The 4S battery is not capable to heat this motor (maybe the ESC a bit)!I will defently buy again this motor!

I've purchased several of these for a paramotor project, with a xoar 15x6 prop, turnigy plush speed controller, and 6s battery setup this puts out 18 pounds (8.5~kg) of thrust, drawing 97 amps.

I bought this motor to increase the performance of the Riff Raff Reno air racer (also from hobby king that i got off a friend)

It replaced the standard 400kv size motor that took 6s.

I used this motor with 2 x 4S 4.25amp Turnigy Nano-Tech A-spec 65c Rated batteries in series to make 8S and then placed a 10x7 Master Airscrew nvylon prop onto it and then turned my riff raff into a belly lander.

I also tried a 12x8 on same 8S setup but the prop was too large for belly landing, however upon testing it with these configs the performance was Ridiculous!! and the motor wasn't even warm.

I would rate these motors much higher than the NTM series motors which have lots of problems when pushed. However you can push these Air series motors hard and they don't seem to have any issues. Very Very versatile and powerful motor. Impressed with the results, will be putting up videos of my Riff Raff flying soon on you tube as I didn't have a camera man for the first few flights, then you will see the capabilities of the motor with your own eyes.

prop apc 15x8 batteries lipo 6s 5000 , static thrust 6,2 kilo
ampere 85/90 ampere watt 1900 .
after 40 sec motor cold esc little hot batteries little hot .
powerful motor.

Good engine.real max data 2200kw74a.
Test with APC 15x8 static trust 6.2 kg.with esc hacker 70a.ECS little hot after 1 min.
Reglue the magnet at the first use.
Silent no bearing problem.

I ordered this motor and it did not arrive with a prop adapter. Contacted HK who gave me a credit which is nice so I had to make a adapter to work with the motor. Be prepared to do same.
