Looks and feels the part, packaged well. The back light doesn't really show up in daylight but most importantly it reads about 10 mph slow across the whole range of wind speeds so it's a waste of money really. Maybe I bought a faulty one and others are ok.

I've read some remark on this unit about bad battery included. Suppose that it could be true, but in my case i received good battery (i measured, voltage of battery is 3,3 volts, while 3 volts required). Unit packed in nice plastic. I have no time to check (calculate) wind flow measurements accurancy, so i share first look of device. It has white backlight. I found some disadvantages: there is no manual shutdown option (device do it automatically after 14 minutes), fan`s spinner is inaccurate, it has little agnails on edges, which takes little effect on fan rotation. At the end I found that i has no case to put my device on ;)

Works as per discription. Have had no problems. Would recomend to all for when learning to fly R/C helicopters, as high wind gives more lift. Thank you HK

Picked up at Lakewood store the other day. Very nice little meter. Battery was DOA but since I grew up in the 70's were everything said "Batteries Not Included", no big deal,stopped in to Fred Meyer and got a new one to install. Unit works as advertised. Great tool to have, get one.
