Overall
These motors come in a fitted foam-lined cardboard box that includes bolt-on prop adapters for a conventional 6mm threaded shaft with cone nut and one for 2-hole bolted propellers. Weight is 112 grams with conventional prop adapter installed. The bottom is drilled and tapped for 19mm and 25mm M3 mounting bolts (not included). ESC leads are 15cm AWG17 silicon-jacketed wire terminated with 3.5mm bullet connectors. The case finish is nice, windings are neat, and there is no bearing play. The motor was bench-tested with 11-inch and 12-inch Gemfan plastic props. Powered by a 3s Lipo the 11 x 4.7 developed 990 grams thrust at 11.8 amps WOT. With the 12 x 4.5 the results were 1090 grams at 14.3 amps. With a 4s Lipo the results were 1410 grams at 13.2 amps for the 11-inch and >1440 grams at 18.5 amps for the 12-inch. I was unable to get an accurate thrust measurement on the 4s because it exceeded the capacity of my scale. ECalc predicts 15 minutes hover for the 12-inch 4s combination on the 2kg quad. This motor should easily handle 14-inch props but I did not have one to test with nor a scale with adequate capacity. In summary this appears to be a high-quality motor.
