Now that I have been using this motor for almost two months & many fliest , an update. The motor continues to run strong. Having reversed the prop shat so that it is the same as the pictured has worked without issue. Have continued to use a GWS orange 8/6 prop, 3 cell 20C Turnigy 3000ma battery , & 30amp ESC. One problem has occurred in regards to the 3 motor wires. It appears that the insulation on these wires is NOT bonded to the wire core. As a matter of fact very loose around the wire. I happened to notice on a pre flight inspection that the insulation on one of the wires has slipped well forward leaving exposed wire out passed the metal case by about 3/8" ( 6-7 mm ) . Had this wire touched the case a short could have occurred. I was able to slide the insulation back into the opening on the case. I then took some clear silicone & a tooth pick & worked it into the case opening. When this set up all was secure. I highly suggest doing this to your wires before the insulation slips. Had this not have happened I would have given 5 stars. Still a good strong running motor.

This might be the best motor I have.
I've used it on many planes like the FT Simple Cub, two FT mustangs etc.
I am ordering a second one for a twin engine so i hope i wasn't just lucky.

Great option for bloody wonders

Great power for foamboard planes, we are using this motor with a plush 18a ESC, APC 8x6e prop on 3S. The bloody wonders are pulling about 14A static at 140 watts WOT and weigh about 1 pound with this setup and 1500 mah battery. Combat/racing fights at full throttle last 5 mins.

batt lipo 3s 1500 mah 20c , 30amp esc , nylon 8x5 prop , 650 grams combat profile , 5 min fling .
Però alla minima toccata si rompono subito i cuscinetti e si piega l'albero , è un pò delicato .

Montato su un combat profile 600gr con elica 8x5 apc e lipo 3s1500 5 minuti a fullthrottle , sale bene , però è delicato sia di albero che di cuscinetti , dura poco ma si sa ...... è un combat .

BEWARE! When Hobbyking has a problem with an order their customer service sucks BIG TIME. I have had about 4 orders that didn't ship for days because they were out of stock on an item that I ordered and their online ordering system said it was in stock. Then it takes days for them to resolve the issue. If you are in a hurry for a big order, go elsewhere.

Probably the nicest quality motor I've had from HK: no slop, good thick shaft and big bearings. The quality of the machining is excellent and the motor appears to be well balanced and smooth. Overall a very nice wee motor.

Great motor, tons of power. I am using it as a replacement on my Pz P-51 gunfighter and i get full vertical with a 9-5 Prop.
