The Turnigy SK8 V2 skateboard ESC offers a smooth start-up, excellent torque, and strong, and reliable progressive braking. This product is compatible with the VESC® software, VESC® is a registered trademark owned by Benjamin Vedder. This open-source firmware has been developed with DIY electric skateboard conversions in mind. This latest firmware can be accessed via the link shown below, there is also a mobile phone App available at Google™ Play Store™. This replaces the older BLDC Tool which was used with earlier versions of the firmware. It generates real-time data, to enable you to customize the ESC from a comprehensive list of functions. This will enable you to select the torque, acceleration, and braking curves so that you can set up your drive system to absolute perfection.
The SK8 V2 is packed full of features, there are too many to list here (a full list can be found in the manual) but here are a few of the main ones. It is built using top-quality MOSFETs and capacitors, suits sensored, and sensorless brushless motors, and has regenerative braking and adaptive PWM frequency for better ADC measurement. It also includes a series of adjustable protection for things like low or high input voltages, and high or low input and motor currents. Overall this is a fantastic, high-quality, and easy-to-use ESC for skateboards and other E-Vehicle conversions.
