Use these servos everywhere, 1.5A amps when blocked, remembers this when bying power distributor.

Very happy with them. Use on a Edge 2m

Servos have a lot of overshoot and poor centering. Gears have a lot of play. I was going to use them in a 1/4 scale edge but changed my mind.

Stay away from this servo if you want one that lives for more than a few hours.
Mechanical build quality is fine, the electronics / software, however, isn't. The regulation lacks an Integral part in its PID regulation. Even without load on a servo tester, it did not always reach the set point, most of the time it just just stayed close to the desired position and kept humming, as the pulses the control circiut gave to the motor when it was close to the set point were too short to make it move to the desired position. An integral term in the PID controll should address just that.
You can imagine what happens, when it has to drive some load (and yes, it is strong): It permanently drives the motor and never really reaches the setpoint. Hence, the life time is short, mine died after only a few hours of operation. The motor is shortcut now, even though the crappy driving circuit is still fine (was used on a current limited 5V supply).
It could be as simple as adjusting the PID parameters, however this digital servo cannot be programed.

Update........There is no brass bushings in the lid to hold the gear pins in place, Its just pressed Into the plastic case(no support) In any sort of crash/bump, This centre pin falls out of place then the gears are out of alignment. Servo lock's up and it's buggered... They really should have put a metal bushing in to hold it better like most servo's have(not this one)

This pin slot is the weak spot in this servo, Due to this, I have found this servo not good for monster truck bashing, Because any bad landing or hard bump on the steering will ruin the servo(very weak pin slot in casing), I have used 2 of these servo's, And both were broken due to this within 2 week's.
Gears seem reasonably strong, But this does not matter as the next weak spot is the centre pin slot, Once this slot is worn, Servo is useless.
Would be best suited to some application where there will be no impact on servo, I can only assume that all this line of Turnigy servo's are the same(no bushing) so I think ill steer clear from these form now on.

It's very good product !! Very strong ! I use this on one 1/8 buggy and it's perfect ! It's compatible with lipo 2S and there is all metal gear !!

This is a full size standard servo. It is slow compared to some micro servos, but it is fast compared to other standard servos. I am using it for robotics. It has a full 180 degree response when pulsed. It is quiet, smooth, and powerful. I will be using this servo for other projects from now on.
