Light years ahead of my LEA 6H! Fantastic!

Pros: The NEO-M8N rapidly acquires satellites and you can have a GPS lock and be ready to fly in under a minute. The cost is extremely attractive as well.

Cons: Order another GPS mount with this unit. The plastic mount that comes packaged is made of extremely weak plastic and it literally crumbled in my hands. An aluminum mount would be a good suggestion.

Purchased 2 from here. 1 works 20 sats the other 8 sats in the same place at the same time on Pixhawks. Have another 3 from a different supplier and they both work great.

I have 3 of these M8N gps/compass's.They are much better than the ones on Ebay.
These work flawlessly on my pixhawk autopilots. The aqusition time to aquire sats is almost instant.I have gooten 20 sats with a HDOP of .7.These are simply the best GPS I have used.I want to thank hobbyking for having these.2 cables are included,The one already on the gps is for the pixhawk(6pins).

Have been running this GPS on my hybrid Tarot 680 pro for several months now. Quick lock and many more satellites than my old GPS module picked up. Hex will loiter in a 6-8" and does not drift.

This seems to work better than previous generation one i had equiped to APM based quad, it lands much closer to where it originally launched and holds steadier, definitely gets a lock much faster

Complete disaster. Didn't work out of the box. Poorly constructed, the antenna was not soldered to the PCB correctly and broke off. Didn't work for one second. REALLY disappointed!

GPS unit is crazy! Original 3DR pixhawk GPS module could hardly catch 9-11 satellites, but ublox finds 16-18 soooo quick! It even finds 17 sats in a building!

However I reccommend to order an another stand for GPS, because this one is very loosy. The moving part of the stand cracked after few folds.

Ordered this module for an APM 2.6 after a crash that damaged my LEA-6H module. I was too impatient and selected Fedex option.
Wow! it was delivered from HK to Canada in about 24Hrs. Good job HobbyKing and Fedex ($$$).
The module was plug&play and I got 3D Lock and 9 satellites in about 5 secondes (cold start). Then 17 sats within the minute. very impressed.

The GPS chip is probably very good, Ublox has always been efficient in the past (Original 3DR Lea 6), but after some snag, I realized that the fault was of the cables. Hobby King cables are very poor quality! I had to repair and tighten the connectors 2 times and, obviously, they do not sell the cables separately.
