The Volantex Saber offers fantastic 3D aerobatic performance out of the box. The powerful pre-installed brushless motor system provides ample power, and the slim profile style fuselage, large control surfaces, and wing fences allow the Saber to do all the usual aerobatic maneuvers including impressive 3D flying. Being made of tough EPO foam it is strong yet lightweight, the foam hinges of the control surfaces are reinforced with plastic hinges for strength and carbon-reinforced push-rods are used for the rudder and elevator controls. Assembly is very straightforward with a minimal amount of gluing required, the longest part of the build is attaching the self-adhesive decals.
As mentioned before, being "Plug N Fly", the 2212-1250KV motor is pre-installed along with a 30A switch-mode BEC speed controller, 4 x 9g servos are also supplied, and pre-installed. Included in the accessory pack are a 12x6 propeller with spinner, clip-on landing gear with wheel pants, steerable tailwheel, rudder hinges, push-rods, clevises, horns, and screws.
The Saber 920mm is a small one-piece aerobatic/3D airplane that will sit on the back seat of the car, ready to take out and fly and have fun at any time. It has an excellent power to weight ratio of around 2:1, symmetrical wing section, large control surfaces for excellent control at low speeds and in the hover, wing fences, and a small wing mounted on top of the fuselage for improved aerobatics. All these excellent qualities make the Saber a must-have in any RC pilot's hangar.
