A beginners maiden Flight of the YAK 12: First toss and I was all over the sky and not in any good way. Was trying to adjust elevator trim when it nose dived at about a 45 degree angle into the ground. (Pilot Error) Found the prop about 15' away. Re-secure the prop with screwdriver. Thanks to the inventor of prop-saver for no damage to prop or motor shaft. Whew!

I should mention that I left the landing gear off because my pasture is what I have to land on and it is not particularly smooth.

Flight two, I relaxed this time and tossed it into the air. Was able to trim it enough for a reasonably level flight. With each passing minute it became easier and easier. When I figured it was time to land, it was a pretty graceful looking bird up there and I was enjoying the flight. Brought it in for a landing and didn't like the placement so took it around a second time. Brought it down slowly and then virtually sat it on the ground. It could not have slid more than a foot after touching down. Best landing I have ever had and didn't even try the flaps yet. Very nice plane!

Great little model. My first one with more than 2 channels. Quick and easy to assemble and surprisingly it holds up to the abuse a learner can give it. I've probably crashed it over a dozen times and every time been able to fix it with a little foam glue. I did, however, destroy both props in the first few hours. I had to rebuild the landing gear because the wheels are just too small for most lawn ovals. Overall, it's taken a hammering and still goes strong. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone beginning or wanting something more than a glider.

Just ordered one reminds me of a small multiplex funcub if it flies half as good it will be a winner for me. I will let you know as soon as it gets here
