Bought this flight pack to replace 18v Nicad pack on a Qualcast hedge trimmer. Not the usual use but works perfectly and a lot cheaper than a replacement Nicad pack. Just have to keep an eye on the discharge voltage using a monitor on the balance leads.

To add an update to my previous review, I've ordered four more of these batteries because the first two have performed incredibly well in the hotliner I ended up running them in. The expected current draw on my hotliner was higher than I first thought. I'm seeing over 230 amps for 2-3 second bursts and these batteries are only warm, not hot on landing. I do land at 3.8-3.85 to help them last longer. Foror reference, during static testing, I got 1500W more out of these batteries than Dinogy 1800 70C packs and 2000W more than Thunder Power 1800 70C packs. At only 2 ounces heavier than the previous mentioned brands, these are my go to packs for insane performance in my hotliner. Many on the forums were shocked i'd put such a "cheap" battery in my expensive plane, but these are, IMO, the best on the market for this scenario. The Graphenes would surely do well also, but the biggest size I can fit is 1800mAh. The larger 2200 Zippys would likely have comparable performance to the smaller capacity Graphenes, though they are identical in size and weight, so I'll get greater flight time with these Zippys. $23 is a steal for these batteries. If you need this size, look no further. I own about 30-35 Zippy 40C batteries and these continue the trend of low IR, long life, and huge capability. I used to think price directly correlated with battery performance, it's apparent to me that that is simply not true in many cases, certainly not true for Zippys.

Excellent batteries

I've only used these batteries a few times, but so far so good. The internal resistance in both of the packs I bought is around 3mohms per cell, so the packs handle high discharges with ease. In the future, I plan to run these in series in a hotliner that will draw ~200 amps @ 10S, so a bit over 7000W when accounting for minor voltage sag. At only $23 a pack with such excellent measured internal resistance and performance, these packs are a screaming deal. Turnigy Graphenes for this capacity and voltage battery are $38, which is also a great deal. The only problem is the Graphenes are so much bigger that I can't fit them in my plane. Highly recommended!

Bought 6 of these batteries at once. All cells were within .02 of each other. Power from these batteries are amazing... I have pushed them to the max discharge capabilities a few times and have had no problems. Will definitely buy more very soon, only because I'm building more stuff that uses 5 cells, and I want more on hand so I can spend more time flying and less time charging!!!!!
