The Flight Design CT series of ultra-light planes had a first flight in March 1996 and is a German design and build. This CTLS (Light Sport version) was announced in 2008 and is also produced in China.
The aircraft is built, mainly, from carbon fiber making for a lightweight, roomy design. Some of the models come with a Ballistic Recovery System (parachute) for the airframe.
This model is built to look like the original aircraft and is designed to fly in a similar manner. It has a very stable flight profile due to its high wing and the tricycle undercarriage makes it easy to land. It is a good size for park flying.
