I bought this type of camera couple years go and I was happy with sensitivity, color, noise and color/black balance.
Initially the camera was green as in picture.
I bought again two cameras in idea that the camera will be identical but they were not.
New camera is blue, it is not so sensitive and supply connector was mounted inverted.
First time when I supplied the camera nothing happened and 200mA consume.
I was upset but I saw the SMD components which supply the camera and was discovered that the video signal was inverted with +12V, in middle being ground.
I soldered the connector correct and camera was good and I obtained good video signal.
Finally nothing was destroyed.
I don't know how is possible as a video camera to be sold in this mod with this type of fault.
Sorry...adventures.

I didn't get mine to work at first. After spending som time on google I realized that the connector on the PCB was rotated 180 degrees thus switching the signal wire with the VCC wire. A forum friend that just received his camera had exactly the same problem.

After this fix the camera works. I have not yet tested it in a relevant environment so I cannot comment on the actual quality.

First the good points - It produces a good sharp image and can handle difficult lighting reasonably well for a camera that isn't user programmable. Now the bad points - The 3 pin plug had the wires reversed - as usual. Why can't they get this right. The stock lens is very ordinary quality and has a narrow field of view. Only suitable for FPV if it is on a pan/tilt. When I removed the stock 3.6mm lens to install a 2.8mm one, I found the sensor cover glass to be badly scratched. So much for quality control.

lovely crisp picture from this camera. would be better with wider angle of view for fpv, but a suitable lens can be bought from Hobby King to do the job. At first the picture was only black and white and very grainy, this turned to be a dip switch on the 5.8Ghz transmitter not making contact so it was a fuzzy signal, not the camera. similar will occur if the 5.8 tx voltage is low

So... for the price, I didn't know really if this camera was well or not. I can tell you, this camera is really good. It never remplace a GoPro, of course, but for normal FPV, the quality image it totally enought. I use it with a RC305 and 200mw boscam transmetter. If you want a cheap FPV system, buy this combo and you will be very satisfied.
