The floats I got are not of good quality. The laminate in one of them is sunken and requires filling. You will need to paint them later. Maybe I was unlucky, I do not know.

This is the second set of the floats I have ordered. First set was installed on a 72" J-3 balsa cub. Hardware, fit and finish on these floats are top notch. These are easy to install and the gel coat fiberglass floats are super easy to paint.

I purchased a set of these floats a couple of years ago and was very impressed with the quality then except for the aluminium material used for the struts. Well things have changed, but not overall. The quality of the unfinished floats is very poor indeed. There are superficial cracks at various points on both floats and a few areas where the fibre glass is relatively thin to the point that a small knock would open a crack/hole. The other point is that the aluminium provided for the struts is heavier and acceptable, a plus here. So my overall rating is based on these observations. So for anyone wishing to get into float plane flying these would be ok for the trainer type plane, but not for your pride and joy or scale models.
