A piece of sh!t, a lot of vibrations, too much to be balanced by myself. You'd rather put some $ more to get a good motor. Don't buy this oneI have bough 7 of this motors. They seems to work well, but they have one problem: the shaft of the motor breaks very easily. Other motors that I have are harder.I would Strongly NOT recommend this motor to any newer flyer... I have ordered 2 of these and each time after 3 or 4 hard landings, the shaft breaks... I took the second motor out on its first flight today and had some great flights, 4 smooth landings and 2 hard landings, on grass, the shaft sheared in the same spot as the first...
I have no complaints against the performance, I have it paired with a BlitzRC 20amp esc and a 2000mah 7.6v lipo and it has no problems pulling my modified foam chuck glider at 35pcnt throttle...Engine very good, mainly because it comes with the amount, do not forget to buy the Spint ok for him.Muy buen motor a un precio excelenteThe smallest of my powerful motor fleet. What these little things do is efficiency at it's best!Estou pagando pra ver este aqui tambem, como o 2822 esta em falta, vamos ver se aqui da conta do recado e nao vai morre na praia.KKKvery bad quality I bought 5 for a quadrycopter 1 shaft was 2.8mm and 4 shafts 2.9mm: very hard to fix colet propeller holder and result is a lot of vibration 'cause they are not centered. bearing on bell side are loose ( if you take off the bell they are falling off) thus increasing vibration.
shaft breakes very easilySeems to be well built, But doesn't live up to the specs listed here. This motor produced the following numbers on a 3s 2200mah battery: 8x3.8 prop 8550rpm,8.12amps,97.5 watts. 8x6 prop, 5790rpm,11.3amps,134watts. 9x6 prop, 6480rpm, 11.83amps, 144watts. This motor is not at fault, it gets VERY warm trying to do what it should,but cannot. This motor is nowhere near 270 watts as advertised. Hobby King, yo ushould step up and send me a replacement, or give me account credit for this motor so I can order a replacement, at no cost to me. That would be the most excellent customer service!!!i received 5 motors I bought, tested and found:
1-Stator CDRom 9 tooth, star connection,
2-Internal resistence = 0,1886 Ohm,
3-Io (7,64V) 0,55A,
4-Kv 970 ONLY!!!
5-The groove cut in the shaft for the snap ring is too deep and the concordance in the botton ara too sharp (used magnifier), hence prone to stress failure, as reported by other fellows.
6- Whem You drain more than 140 w (13,1A / 3S) the thongs get hot.
7- I will give tham free to fellows that need less than 140W with bigger props
