This motor has a ton of power. It pull my CMP 100cc YAK54 around like it is a ragdoll. I'm using a carbon fiber 28x10 prop. I have over 150 flights on it. And it still runs like new. I use LUCAS 2-cycle oil (semi-synthetic) with 93 octane gas at 40:1. I'm still using the stock plugs in it. It started to pull the planes motor mount apart so I took the motor off and fiber glass and epoxyed the mount and put it back on. I hope they get parts for it some day, just in case.

I found out why I could only get 5600 RPM-Linkage not adjusted so the carb could open up-dum dum. BUT! the carb leaks gas when at idle. It come straight out the throat of the carb. Can any bodytell me how so fix it? I disasembled the carb and found no filings or dirt.

I am test runing a DLA 112 engine with a 27-10 prop. I can only get 5600 RPM . Tried adjusting high speed needle both richer and leaner and can not get over 5600 RPM. I have the fuel mixture at 25:1 for break in.

I read in the blogs to set the timing at 28 degrees before top dead center. How do you find 28 on the crank stub?

Me llego el dla 112. Muy conforme con la calidad superior a dle, el encendido funciona a 7,2 a 8.4 gran mejora. Cuando lo ponga a funcionar agrego mas comentarios. Gracias HK

Well I recieved my DLE112 woho. replaced the sparkplugs with NGK because they were cracked???. replaced the prop bolts with good bolts,instructions said that the ing. was 4.8 to 6 volts. removed the back plate to check for metal filings and found none, oiled the bearings and con rod and put it back together. I put it on the test stand and chocked it till it poped unchock and it started on the first flip. ran one tank out, refilled and started. this time only plug was fireing switched plug wires and the same side only fires???? checkes the battery and it was 5.1 volts???. as I was swapping the wires back I noticed the on the ingnition it said 7.2 to 8.4 volts?? so I used a 7.2 lipo hopping it would not burn it out and fliped the prop WOW now it runs really strong, I have a 25 X 12 3 blade carbon prop and was getting 6300 rpms on the seconed tank and pulling 36 lbs of thrust. I have now ran 5 tanks and it is still going strong. VERY PLEASED.

As Ive said before, 2 of these Engines flying in our field. Mine is mounten in a Laser 200 96" WS. I sold the whole package its stil flying very good. Only flaw was the Carburator (Tilitson TYPE) it had a burr sowhere inside it was fixed. The second one came with a faulty front ball bearing (leaked), after break in, it was oppened, both bearing where changed, and is presently flying in an 104" Extra, extensively doing 3D. Preforming Great. PARAMOUNT: ALWAYS CHANGE THE SPARK PLUGS FOR A GOOD BRAND (NGK). Great Value. Advise, witj all RCGs and DLAs do an extensive check out before. I didnt have to move timing, needels setting where adjusted after break in ann also after several flight, (normal procedure), break in with a 26X10 if you want, but in most cases a 27X10 would be best fro flying.Hobby King has not given world of where to get PARTS. Could it be the DLEs?

12-18-11, Be aware, this engine has a problem. I may have received a bad one but - I am not the only person that has receive this engine BAD, with the same problem. I searched the internet and found someone with the same issue with this engine, The engine wont draw fuel into the cylinders, It, Wont Start . Dont do as I, I completed building my plane, as time permitted, three mouths later, I mounted the engine tried to start it and found then that the engine was defected.

Send engine to HobbyKing 5 weeks ago. Contacted HK two days ago was told, the engine : It is sitting in HK warehouse waiting to be shipped back to China! So warranty can check it out.

Be aware!

Great Price, Looks nice, All Worthless if it doesnt do, what it was purchased for!

I use this one on a hangar 9 beast with a 25*12 super silence prop. 6250 rpm's, starts great en run sooo smooth. Never a dle100 again.

First it only took 4 days to get it to Florida that was a plus. Second It started on the 3rd flip and it has been working great with no trouble on my son's Aeroworks 260. Will by another one soon.
