I got these motors for 250 sized miniquad, worked good for the first week. Then when landing i tipped the quad over, I heard a a really odd squeal come from one of the motors. Checked the motors and they seemed ok, it flew a little rougher then normal, though. Checked the motors again, i notice one of the motors now had about 2-3 extra threads showing above the lock nut, the same motor also would bind up on about every 4th rotation. The bell housing was fine, the motor shaft isnt bent, the quad has never hit the deck hard. So i go to pull the motor apart. Circlips are painful, but i got it off, I couldnt remove the Bell housing though, There appears to be a grub screw just under the threading on the shaft, I think this locks the bell housing to the shaft. I tried 4 different hex tools, (Turnigy Set through to and old L shaped tool i have had since the dawn of time, and will normally get the stubborn ones out) None of them budged the grub screw. I have tried to persevere with it, but it is just rounding off now. I am guessing this is what moved with the squealing noise and with the extra play, the magnets are now binding on the stator. For $20 i was at least expecting to be able to work on the motors.
