The Rhino VE80A electronic speed controller with 32-bit MCU has been designed primarily for competitive 1/8 rock crawlers, but it is also very suitable for other types of cars and trucks. The preloaded AM32 custom firmware is optimized for RC rock crawlers, but the firmware can be configured for other applications by using the DYS USB-Link (not supplied).
Using Sinewave technology the ESC allows for a very smooth, and quiet start-up, especially at ultra low-speeds, and the variable drive frequency controls the speed and torque to bring you the ultimate driving experience. The remote high-amp 10A BEC system is adjustable in 4 steps from 5.2 to 8.2 volts making it suitable for a wide range of servos including HV types. It also comes with a waterproof, long-life E-Switch for switching the unit on and off, but please note that the ESC is itself not waterproof. Other features include low voltage protection and stalled/jammed rotor protection to ensure no accidental damage can be done to the ESC. A cooling fan is not supplied, but included are the solder pads so that you can connect a fan of your own choice.
The VE80A ESC perfectly matches the DYS Rhino RM-S20 series of rock crawler brushless motors.
