Came very well wraped, go's together fast for a kit, foam is first class but had a couple of blisters in the paint, used epoxy to glue it but be warned sand the paint before glueing, decals are nice and are on three sheets good manual with C of G. The wing is glued on so if you wont to fit retracks do it before fixing the wing though ply plates are pre fitted and servoless retracks would be easy to fit at any time. waiting for weather to maiden her it really likes the part.

I hope she flys as good as she looks

Its a realy nice model. I changed the engine and esc with a rclander 68mm, 1.7 kg thrust and 80 amp esc. I modified it with flaps and dsr b retracts. Had to do some cutting to make it fit but it was worth it. I also put on the turnigy rc led lightning system. I use a 4 cell 4500 mah battery and a separate receiver battery. (2 cell 850 mah. life battery, 48 gram). Tot weight is 1.750 kg and flying time with different power setting is 12min.

Not a bad foamy EDF, it has a nice shiny painted finish with minimal moulding dots and lines, it can be seen that these have been avoided where possible and it looks neat. Its not smooth smooth, but its not bad for a painted foam finish.

Instructions are OK, limited though, and show assembly steps which on my model have already been completed. This did not save time at all as the assembly was pretty shoddy, parts did not fit, control surfaces were not aligned and there was a significant amount of excess glue in the hinges preventing movement. After a couple hours trimming with the dremel, I have managed to get it to work. Also note that the "perfect fit" DSRB retracts are no where near a perfect fit, and require cutting and gluing in blocks for the retracts.

I will be running 2x 3S 2150 batteries which need to be jammed all the way in the nose (past the battery tray) to get it to balance. EDF does run smooth on mine though, and will produce around 0.8-0.9:1 thrust with the retracts, and top 1-1.1:1 without the retracts.

Overall, a great looking model, great finish on the foam with sharp trailing edges on the wing (looks great). Might paint the surfaces a bit to help distinguish top and bottom.

Would I buy it again? so far I'm pretty impressed by the foam model, but let down by the poor assembly. With some work that I'm prepared to put in, at this price point, I think I

The model is ok but the retracts that are supposed to be an exact fit do no fit without triming wood at mounts and also nos has to modified to accept nose wheel electric retract. this was the TGY-DSRB retracts.

As for weight and balance try putting fiberglass in the nose to strengthen it and the balance will be fine. This has to be done before glueing it on. Tha plane is slower with the electric retracts and a better motor would be good.

Finally got it balanced. After a burnt out motor and splitting it in half twice. The alloy EDF needs a 4000mah batt up front to get the CG forward enough. Flys steady and has huge presence in the air. Sounds a million bucks and fan is smooooooth. Not really for beginners and even then I'd only take it out for special occasions. Enjoy.
