This is rather special as it is double articulated in the modern style of Gyrocopter. This allows roll and pitch to be cotrolled by the rotor and is true to the style of most Gyros since 1960. A small tailplane is still beneficial but an elevator is not essential. It seems very well made. The flexible plate which the blades attach to does seem a little under-engineered but it has the benefit of reducing the damage done to blades in a bingle. With all gyros there is a need to make smooth power adjustments. Never slam the tap shut before the brick wall is inevitable.

The rotor head is upside down guys. As is......as the flapping blade will give positive incidence thus.....the blades will not spin up. The may spin backwards. Unscrew the axle bolt and flip the head over and than attach you blades. On RC Groups, go to C30 no instructions. I posted photos and explanations. Also.....they use Lexan for the hinge material which will break in short time.

Purchased this for a smallish home design model, it was cheaper than buying the ball races and making up a home made version. Quality looks ok, head spins smoothly.

oem stock replacement head for the cierva c30. havent needed it yet but exact match these are rarely in stock so grab em for your toolbox

I had a problem with the two I bought for projects on the first one the plastic hinge broke off in my hand when I was fitting the blades
I stripped the second to use the hinge from that but found it had stress cracks on it and would have broke if I had used it this may be an isolated case but my autogyro would have lost a rotor and crashed.
I recommend that you strip the head and check for stress marks and replace it if you find any.
Other than that the heads are great value for money and I will continue to use the head.

Good quality. The plastic pars are very strong. D not forget to unsrew and add some threadlock. works great and saves a lot of time on sel-built autogiros.
