My nicest, most easly fly heli yet ! (i have over 35...) BUT the tail rotor DOES blow up in your face the first time you try it ! You have to change the bearings in the taildrive with som 'real' bearings (and maybe an original tail-case.... and sand down the tailblades so they can move easly). I have change these things now, and at last i have a Heli that i can teach students with. Almost forgot... The blades are good for... Nothing so far ;-D I also use the ASSAN 250 Gyro with a standard FUTABA Digital servo S3151, Rock solid ! Hitec HS-325HB on the swash. 4cell 3300mA battery gives me a smooth ride for about 10minutes. It looks nice, and flies well - for a short time.
Weakness is NO SPARES and the Tail all fell to bits on my model.
Tail bearing shattered, and $70 on another kit for 1 bearing ? Nah. Tried using head bearing from the 450, but to no avail. Proper bearing is flanged.
Gonna stick with the HK500.
There are some major issues with the tail section of this heli.
Ive built 3(!!!) and they all have the same problem with the tail.
Problem is the tail housing is made of plastic, and what happends is there is slop in the tail output shaft bearings, they can move around a little bit, and this only gets worse. After 5min hover, its game over.... by then you will have a bent tail shaft , and MAJOR slop in the shaft because the plastic have melted around where the bearing is seated. Also the tail output shaft is only 3mm, way to thin for a 500size heli.
Ive built it according to the Super Voyager manual, and all three have had the exact same problem. Im really stuburn , and 110pcnt wanted this heli to work, but now ive given up, dont want to invest any more time and money with this heli. thank you for the replyeu ainda no o tenho mais quem tem diz que ele timo helicptero bem estvel aconselho que robistas comprem tambm .Cant get mini servos to fit when using the servo adapter, its too tight. Have to buy big standard size servos. Other than that the kit is good, but i will only give 4 stars because of servo problems.Pro's: Excellent quality of both materials and workmanship!!
con's: Too bad the kit contains allenbolts with non-metric head-sizes. I did not expect that, but it's not a big problem to buy a suitable allenkey.
- mine came without a manual, but it is not too hard to find a manual on the net
- no spareparts available. you have the choice to buy either expensive JR-parts of to buy another kit at HC and use it as a donor.
